my players just dont seem to be able to hold onto the ball .no matter what formation im playing the other team seems to run riot over us any body got a solution to this tactics formations whatever would be helpful

have you tried retain possession, pass into feet ?

Try a rigid philosophy with no creative freedom,short simple passing....
