Help with patch

Hi guys, in a very large pickle here.
I downloaded FM2011 from my pre-order with Game.
It worked fine after a couple of issues downloading
I installed the patch and now I can't run the game without a disk, I have no disk because I paid for digital download so im completely stuck, any help would be very much appreciated!

Downloading the patch manually will corrupt the game as its designed for users playing the boxed version of the game. All digital downloads come pre patched or are automatically updated.

I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling. Once re-installed, the database choices on starting a new game shoud be 11.1.0 or defualt. If they aren't, get back to me.

I ran a system restore and now everything is working fine, thanks a lot!

Does steam not give it to you or anything?
