Help With Photoshop

I'm trying to make a signature and want to know how to make the white in this picture go away. I have tried the background eraser but it makes it look rubbish. I'm want to place the blue curves on a dark background. Please help, thanks

The easiest way I have found to remove backgrounds like this is to go into the channels tab (next to layers) Ctrl + Click the RGB channel to select the white, and delete it. The image will now appear slightly transparent, but on a transparent background. To fix that simple duplicate the layer 10 or so times (select the layer then go Ctrl + J) and after that merge them (select them then go Ctrl + E).
