help with tottenham/spurs!?

i am just starting a new game with my team, spurs.

i know many people have posted their opinions but i am struggling to find them again.

i am playing the 4-4-1-1 tactic but am unsure on which style to play. current style is in the attachment.

i have seen it is possible to be really successful in 1st season at spurs, with many people managing to even win the league. ive told the bold i'll finish in top 6.

i am on the verge of signing fabio coentrao for just short of £8million and am about to sell keano to lpool for £4million.

other than that who do you feel could really add something to my team

as you will see i play the offside trap with my two central defenders both playing in a 'defend' role.

what player roles would you feel best suit my players too.

when u play, what do you have your tackling as cautious or aggressive, i have always been on unsure of this in every game. with spurs what tempo, width, def line?

If you want to play a fast, counter-attacking style, or you are away from home/ against a much better side, use more aggressive. If not normal, i cant really think of a situation where more cautios would be beneficial :S

I am managing Spurs now. I won league in first season and am on course to do so again this season. I signed a few players that are young and for second season I got too many players but it does mean I have a little depth in the squad.

Please find attached the Best Eleven for my first season, and my transfers for season 1 and season 2.

Hope this helps, also, I play the standard 4-4-2 tactic and it seems to work well. Just change strategy to control or attacking or counter as appropriate

I keep the tackling on default generally,

defensive line is high, width slightly above normal and tempo as normal.

I generally play 4-2-3-1 - with two central midfielders, one box to box (hudd) another advanced playmaker ( modric ) two wingers (Bale and Lennon) VDV as Trequista(sp) and then Advanced Forward up front (Defoe/Bent)

It varied. I have never been any good at the tactical side of the game. I use one of the following 3
1) Standard 4-4-2 with no changes at all
2) 4 Defenders, 1 DM, 2CM, 2 Wingers, 1 Striker - No tactical changes again (attacking if i go 1 goal down by half time though
3) 4-4-2 diamond - control mostly.

brings back memories of the semi final in 08 lol, second pre season game and bassong broke his ankle, now lookin for a centre back to strengthen for europe, nelson rivas from inter i think.

strange little tactic.... with creative freedom set on more exp. and roaming stick to position... If you want to play "Barca Football", than roaming set at least to default.... You have 2 creative players in your squad... vdv and modric... dunno, I always play like this, with every team, and Im very good at FM so far... ( past 4y or so)...

tried gettin lukaku but no more funds. youve still get b.e.o at lb, hes shocking lol. beckham instead of lennon haha, maybe a good sub or starter v big teams away from home if you play a slow tempo. i just lost to inter 2-1 away in a friendly. big kick off now with man city at the lane

i dun really play ML/MR in this game,
i played gareth as a attack left back ( worked wonders for me)

his crosses are deadly, raked up 20+ assists last season.
but that would limit his goal though, i rmb that he only scored 4-5 goals last season.

wow, thats expensive!

but is it paying off?

i signed juan manuel mata from Valencia and really regretted in that season as he was completely off form.

Surprisingly, Man City offered to buy him for a price that is almost 1.5x of what i paid ( 20M + 30M installment in USD ) and i made a killing!
