ive downloaded Football manager 2010 online from game, was working fine. But now iv just dowloaded the 10.3 patch and now football manager wont work and says that the disk is not inserted? But this was working before i downloaded the patch without a disk being in. Please help
 
not sure i dont think so because just downloaded it off GAME website and didnt see Steam appear anywhere

how did you install it? and can you check to see if you can install it by steam
 
i installed it using GAME installer and then it just installed normaly as Football Manager does and i dont think i can install it by steam
 
really not sure mate, all i can say is uninstall and try again, and check if it comes with a patch from game

edit just found out the problem. checked the game website. it says most of their games come already patched. so uninstall it and do not patch it. but run the game and go to game status to check version
 
okay thanks for the help. im on windows 7 bdw if that makes things any different. how do i unistall the patch? or shall i unistall fm and install it again? but then i will only have 4 more times i can install it i think?

uninstall the whole game it needs a clean install, and then go to the actual folder it was installed to, and make sure there is nothing left. also check your my documents folder for an si folders there and delete them too. the site says you can ask for more activations. here's the info: http://game.gamesplanet.com/how-it-works.html

no worries mate, if i dont reply here, check back about 10 am if you still have problems cos i gotta log off soon, got work in the morning
 
football manager works again but its only the 10.1 patch do you think i should bother trying to get the 10.3 or isnt it much difference?

i get the feeling you downloaded the patch for the wrong version ie you downloaded the one for the boxed version when in fact you need the one for the digital version. go here: http://www.footballmanager.com/index.php?p=patches choose the pc digital one.

if that doesnt work, i would get in touch with thier customer services about what to do
