Promotion


5 promotions in 5 seasons. Skrill North to Premiership. They said it could not be done. The impossible dream has been acheived. I am a full fledged English Hero. However now what? The 5 year plan has actually worked unlike these clowns

We need a new 4 year plan this time. It has to be Europe. Aim for the stars. 1st objective is to stay up and then the world is our Ostrich boys and girls. The stadium is getting expanded to 15 thousand from 12.5. I have a feeling when the big expansion comes I could be playing at Villa Park or my prefered choice Molineux. If i get moved to West Brom. That would be the end of this story ;)

Luke James really did the business. And Chris Ryan. Just did what he does. Be god **** awesome. Really happy with my regens and the team in general. Only missed out on the title on goal difference. But at the end of the day objective was acheived.

The Red Bulls rep is on the rise. Managed to become 17th biggest club in the country. Not sure i agree with that, Above Everton? Alright son.

Finances

With wages at 300k p/w I know I have one of the smallest budgets in the league. But with 70k to play with I have a little bit of room to play with. And with free transfers around I can get some experience in without a transfer fee. And with that in mind the money I will spend will be on young English talent.

I need a marque signing. Then in my news feed i saw that Wayne Rooney's contract was up. He's 32. I had a quick look he was asking for 60k. Something i could not do. So i waited for his contract to expire and on July 1st I offered Wayne a chance to come train with us. So he wont develop his gut any more. As soon as he joined on trial he wanted 32k, i got him down to 20k p/week. I've tried the same with Micah Richards. But he still being a greedy ****** I'm desperate for experience and pace. He offers me both. I'm really not sure if i can afford him but I'm gonna give it a go. Can i sign 2 England Internationals, too the sqaud? I hope so. Pre season is going to get interesting.

Best comment ever. Haha. Just finished pre season mate. The Rooney signing started the ball rolling ;).. Will post the update in a bit
 
Pre Season 2018/2019

Isn't it Ironic don't you think? Well in tha Allanis Morrisette version of the word Ironic. Then maybe. I would say it's a coincidence. But after mentioning the white pele earlier on in this adventure, i've now signed him. Micah Richards also joined permanantly .. I was on a roll. Which again was Ironic because Rooney really likes Rolls. Ham Rolls. I think that might be a coincidence again. One of my favourite quotes is about Beckham and LA Galaxy. "You went to Galaxy for 5 years coincidentley thats how long it takes your wife to eat one" I digress... After i got Rooney and Richards in, I figured I wonder who else is available on a free who is English. With a budget adjustment and putting some more money into wages I was scouting the market. I thought what would Harry do? But Bobby Zamora had retired. So had Crouch. Defoe was available but that was crazy talk at 35. Harry would also pocket all the cash in bonus payments. I really did not have budget to do that. So ignored the Redknapp instincts and ploughed on. And for a team who just been promoted into the prem. I think I did ok...

Seriously. How? 20K a week. The big time charlie has gone. He's now playing for the love of the game. Well in my mind If he turns up it could be a masterstroke. A first half hatrick in a pre season friendly against Nice suggests "he's still got it.

Micah Richards

After watching England struggle so much with Glenn Johnson. You have to wonder why Micah Richards is content sitting on the bench at Manchester City. Go get a career son. He needs a run of games. Week in week out in the premiership. And at least in this universe that's exactly what he's going to get. 75 games in the last 6 seasons pre 2018. Is beyond ridiculous.

Gibbs had just been released by Southampton who had been relegated. He had replaced Luke Shaw who joined PSG back in 2014 for 38m. Needed a left back to compete with James Husband. And somebody who despite being a good player will never get a look in for England again.

Roy Hodgson would be proud of this one. I bet if you asked the clown, Whats your biggest regret from the world cup Roy?... Is it your lack of tactics and inability to play the diamond which did liverpool so well and (also has led Hereford Red Bulls so well when they acheived 5 sucsessive promotions on FM14) He would respond no... "my biggest regret was not playing James Milner". Yep. Go back to West Brom Roy. Infact i think this sums him up ..

James Wilson

I'll be be honest I dont know a lot about James Wilson apart from what i saw at the end of the season under Giggs. Sometimes talent can go to waste at Utd. As a young player its hard to break into the team as a striker. So i've taken a punt. Sylvian Ebanks Blake rule of thumb. Sometimes he's good sometimes he's ****. Who knows.

Same deal as Wilson. But I've seen him play a few times. I actually think he's a bit of a player. Great Free Kick taker and got a trick. Good backup


Harry Maguire

I really rate Maguire. Him and Danny Batth are possibly the best two young English Centre backs outside the premiership. Football manager agrees. If i do well he might break into the England squad. Also FYI England did not even make it to Russia in 2018. And Mexico won the world cup.

He's half Belgium half DR Congo. So obviously... I'm labelling him the next Kompany. Or i've signed Anthony Van De Borre. Remember when he was good on FM? Yeah... Not so much in real life. Kompany actually justified his Football Manager credentials. I've paid 5m with 2m only upfront. He was the best of what i could afford. But he's young and I think he could develop. He is at Inter in real life but had gone back to Standard in game. He's had 4 caps. And i wanted a left footed CB so i hope he comes good.

That pretty much concludes the business. I'll leave you with my Ins/Out. I'm 31k over wage budget which might become an issue. But sometimes you got to Roll the dice.
