Here I am embarking on my latest journey, this time it is with Chelsea Football Club. I have tried recently in playing games abroad but always find myself wanting to return to managing within the Barclays Premier League. My aim is simple for this game, first of all to enjoy, secondly, it is to win as many trophies as I can with Chelsea, that is all. There are no other aims here, I do intend to blood youth through into the first team but that is not part of my challenge here. As long as I am winning trophies, that is all I care about.

Hopefully many of you will recognise the new manager of Chelsea, the man who will undoubtedly bring success to his new club. Los Pollos Hermanos, otherwise known as Gustavo Fring, but for the purposes of the game I have stuck with this name, he was born on 30th July 1966, which is also the day England last won the World Cup. He is an American born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before he started his career in football management he also owned a chain of fast foods restaurants, as I say, a few of you mind of heard of the name.

Pre-Season Friendlies 2014 / 15

Pre-Season went fairly poor for Chelsea's standards. 2 wins, a draw and 2 losses. In a lot of the friendlies I played my youngsters to give them a chance in breaking through into the first team but they were very poor when given the chance and have now since been sent out on loan. The game against Guangzhou I played a very strong team and that showed. I am trying to adapt the team into playing essentially what is a 3-5-2 formation, I am optimistic about the chances and believe I can conquer Europe with this formation, but definitely not on these results below.

August 2014

August went very well for us in the Premier League, winning all three games and new signing Memphis Depay gaining the Barclays Player of the Month. Also with Hermanos winning the Manager of the Month award too. The 8-0 demolition of Man Utd was incredible to watch, with every player doing there utmost to upset the United fans and giving them a torrid time to remember in West London.

Obviously after our 100% record in the Premier League and the demolition of Manchester United, we are top of the league, hopefully we can stay there too. Newcastle have had a disappointing start with only one point in the opening three games. Chelsea are facing Liverpool next in the league so we shall see how we do away from home at Anfield. We have been drawn in the Champions League group stages with Shakhtar Donetsk, Besiktas & Napoli, which we should come out of with relative ease.

Summer Transfers 2014

We had a very busy intake here this month, with new signings Giorgio Chiellini, Memphis Depay, Gabriel Barbosa & Jairo Riedewald all coming in for a combined fee of £61.75 million. Both Chiellini and Depay will fit straight into my first team, whereas the other two signings will be playing bit part roles for the club this season, more so in cup games etc. They have both been signed to hopefully achieve homegrown status at the club (if they end up being good enough).

All transfers out of the club are just loan deals to youngsters, a lot were already agreed i.e. Nathaniel Chalobah but I would of sent them out on loan anyway so there was no real issues. As I stated in a previous post, I was going to give the youngsters a chance to shine in the first team this year but even during the pre-season friendlies they did not perform, so I sent them out on loan and I am monitoring their progress throughout the season. I will decide what to do with them from there.
