My mate just bought Villa for £60M with Liverpool. Only in 2009 though so he's the most valued player in the game at the minute.

and in FM2008 I was training Barcelona and they gave me 200M in the summer (end of the first season). so i bought C. Ronaldo for 143M € . They was valued at 150M for two weeks, but then returned to his real value again, around 50M €

so far the highest i've seen is 37m pounds. those players with values higher than that normally is due to the club purchasing them at a high price and therefore, the values are unstable and will drop over time.

This. I've yet to see any player in my games whose initial market value is higher than £37m, that is, before they are bought by other clubs. Thus, I think the "stable" market value limit is about £37m.

Iv had torres value rise to 39.5M with liverpool just through performance and new contract.Highest stable value iv seen. But bought a regen for Gateshed Town for 237 million in 2054...Simply had so much money i could buy anybody!!!
