Michel Platini is selective about who he lets in through the doors of his private members club in Nyon and prior to May of this year he had good reason to be. The gridlock that existed between Spain and UEFA over the accession of Gibraltar to their seat at the top-table finally gave way in London after almost a decade of grappling that twice saw the case go before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and now Spanish threats to boycott international and club football no longer dictate Platini?s agenda when it comes to growing the football family.
