NEWS FROM THE Amsterdam ArenA
Bert" van Marwij has stepped down from the Dutch National Post, citing personal reasons for leaving the team. This is a MASSIVE blow with the World Cup just 4 months away, however, the Dutch FA wish van Marwij the best in all his endeavours.

NEW MANAGER REVEALED
The Dutch FA have revealed young Scottish manager Mick McDermott as the new Dutch manager. Fans are outraged, thinking that because McDermott is Scottish, he may screw over Holland in attempt to get one over on the Oranje. However, McDermott has stated "I will not be doing anything to screw over the Dutch. I want to give this country something they haven't ever had; The World Cup Trophy."

WORLD CUP GROUP

Holland have been grouped with Denmark, Honduras and Ghana. With the Dutch FA fully expecting McDermott to lead them to the Semi Finals, his tenure as manager could be a short lived one.

DUTCH WORLD CUP SQUAD/SQUAD VS. CROATIA ANNOUNCED

I felt that we needed to have the sheer experience of Edwin van der Sar which is why I was ecstatic when I seen that he decided to join us. I was also hoping for Ruud van Nistelrooy to join us but he couldn't and wished us the best.

We aren't exactly predicted to win the World Cup, which can be reflected by our 5-2 odds, however, I hope we can turn that around and win the cup for everyone in Holland.

PENALTIES SAVE THE ORANJE'S BACON!
View attachment 72656

Honestly, when I had this match in mind, I was hoping we'd pull off a victory to give our team some sort of momentum. Well, we got the win and the momentum but not in the way I wanted or expected. The fact that it took penalties makes me rethink my approach here. If we want this World Cup, we have got to buck up our ideas and keep possession a lot more.

"Overall I am proud of the team, we beat Denmark and Ghana convincingly. However, I am worried that our performance dropped against Honduras and I hope that's not a sign of things to come."

SECOND ROUND VS GREECE

"A shock TBH. Not in the result but the fact that it took us until the second half to really kick it into gear. Hopefully we can keep going and win this cup, for everyone in Holland!"

QUARTER FINAL VS USA

"Much better. We got the win and had the match wrapped up by half time. I personally think we should've scored more, but Semi Finals here we come!"

SEMI FINAL VS ENGLAND

View attachment 73022

"And so the dream ends. But, in my opinion, England were MUCH more brutal than we were. They took advantage of the fact that Boulharouz and Heitinga weren't in defence and picked us off one by one. Regardless, looks like we need to settle for third."

THIRD PLACE PLAYOFF VS. FRANCE

View attachment 73018

"... well this is surely unexpected. Not just the draw, but the fact that France tore us apart in a furious vengeance after being put here by Spain. I'm glad that Klass-Jan Huntelaar got us a goal, but 4th is not good enough for us. In other news, I recently told the Dutch FA that I want to keep this post and they said they would review the matter."

ROBBEN SAV E CLOCKWORK ORANGE!

View attachment 73246

The attacking power of Holland was nowhere to be seen tonight as Ukraine hold on to a draw against World Cup Semi Finalists Holland. The match started off badly for Holland as Khalid Boulharouz put it into his own net, sending the Ukraine fans into hysteria. However their blushes were saved by Arjen Robben who put away Hollands only clear cut opportunity. "We cannot keep performing like this. The European Championship qualifiers are coming up and we MUST perform there." stated Mick McDermott, who was intrested in going into club management, but has yet to find a club. However, he may be in luck as Uruguay Montevideo parted terms with their manager.

THE DUTCH SHOW OFF NEW KITS FOR EURO 2012 QUALIFIERS

The Dutch have now shown off their newest kits for the Euro 2012 qualifiers and even the Euro 2012 competition, given that they qualify. Mick McDermott said "These kits will be perfect for the lads, if anything, these kits are good enough to motivate them to good performances in the future."

An efficient performance left the Swedes wondering what could have happened on another day. "As expected, the lads see the kits as a change and, as such, feel a little revitalised" said McDermott. The victory, grouped with the rest of the results, leave Holland on second place only by name behind Finland. "Not exactly a place I wanted to be in, but we have to focus on getting past Hungary before we can think about the Finnish."

In other news, Dutch Talisman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has essentially been ruled out until June 2011 after damaging a cruciate ligament. "This is a cruel blow for the nation. Huntelaar had finally found his foothold in the national team, becoming an integral part of my team. However, hopefully Bas Dost, our replacement will be able to emulate his performances."

Good result against Sweden; good luck in the rest of qualifying :)

"HUNGAR" FOR THE FLYING DUTCHMEN
View attachment 76782

Literally a last minute sickener caused the Dutch to drop points. "In general, I am pleased with some aspects of our game. Most notably, Bas Dost's contribution and I stick by my words. Dost was ONSIDE for the goal, the ref and linesman seemed to think differently." For his backing of goalkeeper Henk Timmer, however, McDermott was a little different. "With van der Sar out, I thought I had picked a young 24 year old rather than the Veteran Timmer. However, Timmer played well but was easily tired nearing the end of the game, which was the reason for our last goal conceded."

THE DUTCH CROSS THE "FINNISH" LINE!

In a complete turn around from the Hungarian game, the Dutch took this game in style, having the game essentially won by the 69th minute. "I cannot express my delight anymore than this." said an overjoyed McDermott. "This is the kind of football that we are known for and this is the kind we should keep playing." With this result, the Dutch are in control of the group, sitting atop with 7 points.

MCDERMOTT IS THE "ANGEL OF AIRDRIE"?
View attachment 77591
It has been confirmed that Airdrie United has officially offered Dutch Manager Mick McDermott the now-vacant managerial position. "Well, clearly I am flattered. I would love to return to Scotland and manage but I didn't expect this offer to be so quick." Said McDermott. "I've graciously asked Airdrie to give me a week to think over this offer. I still need to get the guys ready for Russia before I make any decisions about my future."

I'd like to point out that, even though Airdrie has a MASSIVE transfer budget, it is NOT FMRTE. I downloaded a edited database a while ago and left it on.

MCDERMOTT CHOSEN TO LEAD AIRDRIE TO THE PROMISED LAND

It has been officially confirmed by Airdrie United chairman Rick Kamara that the Dutch manager Mick McDermott will take over from where Kenny Black left. "This is a huge day for Airdrie United." Stated Kamara. "McDermott has had my attention since he became manager of my beloved Holland and I hope he can take the club to new heights." "My decision was based on the fact that I did want to return to Scotland and manage. I discussed it with the Dutch FA and, not only have they allowed this, they will allow me to continue as Holland manager, as long as club duty does not interfere.

FRIENDLY WOE AGAIN FOR DUTCH
View attachment 77814
It was yet another cruel moment for Holland as the official World Number 2 team fell somewhat short against Russia. "Our main problem seems to be consistency." Said new Airdrie manager Mick McDermott. "We don't seem to be putting away our chances and hopefully this does not effect the lads too much."

NEW DIAMONDS KITS OUT TO WIN HEARTS
View attachment 78132 View attachment 78133

New manager Mick McDermott has swooped into action, already having two kits made up for his Diamonds. The makers, Uhisport, already feel that the kits are very good and McDermott was quick to agree. "Personally, I think these kits look unique. For one, our home kit has our sponsor going down vertically rather than across horizontally. I thank Uhisport for their help and these kits should serve us well in our run up to the promotion playoffs and, hopefully, these will be the kits used next season in the SPL1."

I will do bi-seasonly updates for Airdrie and will also post when the transfer window has ended.

MCDERMOTT; "YOUTH IS KEY"
View attachment 79063
Following the opening of the transfer window, which saw Airdrie sign 8 players, including 6 young players, McDermott has been quoted as saying that youth is the key in football. "I do see young players being all filled with talent. So, this transfer window has been kind to us, with many of our targets costing below £1 million." Asked if the signing of Vyacheslav Kernozenko was either for experience or the fact that his first international cap was against England, McDermott remained firm. "Kernozenko is a man with a mountain of experience. He may not get a lot of first team experience here, but he will be able to help us with the training of young Raul Fernandez." When asked about Cervi's ability, McDermott was calm. "There may be doubters of Cervi, but I see it as a bargain. Cervi is a player who consistently plays his best every time." Finally, when asked about Andreev and the possibility of dropping either Touré or Romaglia, McDermott had this to say. "Andreev is a top notch player. I will drop Touré, even though he is our top scorer. My reasoning is simple, Touré is getting old and I don't want him to be overly tired at the end of each match."

Dude, World Cup has passed on this. XD But thanks :)
