@algardfk
- Algard Fotballklubb, Norway. The first step of many, and the beginings of a love affair that would last a lifetime.

@blackarmy_co_uk - Algard's supporters club. A community loyal to the footslog of lower league monotony.

@StvAftenblad - The local news source of Stavanger, and avid followers of AFK, Sandnes Ulf and Figgjo. The contemptible Man.

@paoloposho-
Paul Oyuga, assistant manager and first team player at Algard FK. Kenyan International, and a man of real integrity.

@terjelima
- Terje Lima, club legend and first team coach at Algard FK. An infamous prankster and vivacious character.

@rogvi_baldvins
- Rogvi Balvinsson, AFK club captain and Faroe International. Addictive personality with too much to say.

@Antonio_ravinho
- Andreas Ravndal, Algard's jewel in the crown. Ambitious and intelligent, a real crowd pleaser.

25/06/12 - Aftenblad break the news

Frette had enjoyed a successful first half of the campaign, guiding Algard FK to third position in the Norwegian Second Division Group 3 before his departure. The club are expected to release an official statement later today, with the futures of Frette's coaching staff now in doubt.

25/06/12 - Official Update from Algard FK

In twelve games at the helm, Frette had managed the side to five wins, four draws and just three defeats. He leaves the club in third position behind Nest-Sotra and league leaders, Floy, with no real clue as to the reason for his departure. Algard have enjoyed their best start to a campaign, dumbfounding critics and pundits that had expected the club to be scrapping at the other end of the table.

25/06/12 - Star striker dismayed at manager exit

Algard fan's favourite, Andreas Ravndal, has declared his disappointment at the loss of Hans Olav Frette. His views are shared by the majority, as the footballing world look on in puzzlement at the manager's departure. It remains to be seen whether a change at the helm will impact the performances going forward, but the club will need to move quickly with a trip to Vard coming in just twelve days time. With the transfer window also closing soon, will this episode threaten to derai Algard's season?

25/06/12 - The response from the fans is less than forthcoming...

Algard supporters have voiced their concern at the dismissal of manager Hans Olav Frette, while many fear for the future of key staff members and players. The club's board have been the subject of much negativity, leaving chairman Tor Eivind Moss under pressure to find a suitable replacement.

27/06/12 - Ravndal confirms Algard fears

Andreas Ravndal today confirmed his desire to leave Algard FK following the dismissal of manager Hans Olav Fette. The news will likely have alerted clubs from the top division, with Molde and Sadnes Ulf already on the forward's radar. The club are yet to respond to Ravndal's plea, although it is widely accepted that they will not want to lose their best player without a fight. Will the striker be the next out of the door? Or can he be persuaded to continue at his beloved Algard? The club certainly won't want to keep hold of an unhappy player, especially when he holds such value in the transfer market, but can a deal be struck to satisfy all parties?

Nice idea. I assume tweets are being translated ? ;)

27/06/12 - Algard continue to disappoint

The Norwegian public have been caught off-guard as Algard FK swoop quickly to replace their former manager. Frette's replacement appears to be a nameless Englishman, a complete nobody without the necessary experience for this level. Many have described him as 'having seen too few winters' and having 'barely felt a woman's touch', leaving the club fearful of a backlash should he fail. It's certainly a massive gamble, but sources close to the club feel the new man can be easily manipulated and controlled by the Algard hierarchy. Are Algard really this unambitious?

29/06/12 - Oyuga appreciates arrival

Algard FK assistant manager, Paul Oyuga, is relishing the prospect of working with the new head coach, and delighted to still be involved in a playing capacity. The thirty nine year old still feels that he has something to offer, having struck up a good strike partnership with youngster Andreas Ravndal. The pair have netted four times each this term, and could prove vital in the club's push for promotion.

A pretty original angle :) I can imagine the effort you put, you certainly have me hooked. Don't keep the fans waiting!

07/07/12 - The day of reckoning

Algard FK's new boss will be delighted with a winning start, and particularly the blossoming strike partnership between Paul Oyuga and Andreas Ravndal. The want-away striker netted an expertly taken second for Algard, but celebrations seemed mute in wake of his recent transfer request. Oyuga had notched the opener, with midfielder Daniel Storhaug completing the scoring late on.

Goals timed at: Oyuga 48', Ravndal 52', Storhaug 82'

Fantastic idea mate, know I've said it before, but this is class! (H)

07/07/12 - Players react to comfortable victory

In a game that saw Ravndal and Oyuga both hit five for the season, the captain's focus turned to the backline as Magnus Kojedahl Bjorkedal made his long awaited debut between the sticks. The assistant manager, Kenyan Paul Oyuga, may well have stolen the plaudits at one end, but Rogvi Baldvinsson was full of praise for the twenty year old shot stopper who kept the hosts at bay.
