How did Ancelotti plays his Christmas Tree in AC Milan?

How did Ancelotti plays his Christmas Tree in AC Milan?

iirc, it should be a 3mc 2am 1st.

i am trying to recreate a formation like this, but i dont know when player should be the playmaker, an amc or a mc do it? i dont know who did it in ac milan
 
He played a diamond. Pirlo DMC, Gattuso RCM, Seedorf LCM, Kaka ACM. I think Pirlo was the primary playmaker from deep although even Kaka and Seedorf are sort of playmakers.
 
Deep lying playmaker = Pirlo mate. Ball winning - Gattuso. Box to box = Ambrosini

yes he plays a diamond, but not like this.

the diamond in christmas tree is the mc drop deeper, makes it looks like a pentagon diamond
 
From what i can gather from your first post, all you need to know is to put Pirlo in MC and on the "deep lying playmaker" role.

Does than answer it for you?

who played as the usual striker at that time?
tell me how did they play would be fine
 
Shevchenko,Inzaghi or Crespo played as the strikers i think.

the first one is what i am looking for.

explain me how did they play ok?

ive seen the striker always stay at the middle of the pitch
 
It wasn;t actually a christmas tree formation when ancelotti was at his most successfull with milan.

it was a diamond formation like this:

------------------Pirlo----------------------

------Gattuso-------------Seedorf-----

-------------------Kaka--------------------

------Shevchenko------Inzaghi-------

Pirlo is played as a deep lying playmaker
Gattuso is played as a defensive ball winner
seedorf is played as an advanced playmaker
Kaka is played as an attacking amc
schevchenko is played as an advanced forward
inzaghi is of course a poacher, although if there was a stand offside option that would definitely be selected :)
 
i am creating a 02-03 tactics works for milan.

they've won the ecc in 03
