How do you join a network game with other people?

Hey Guys! How your doing?
I have just installed FM 12 offline mode, however I have Steam but I don't want to play FM 12 trought STEAM. Whenever I click to play it appears a message in steam menu tou buy the game but I don't want I just wnat to play offline so if someone can help me I will be very pleased... Thanks
