Upfront, rarely use installments, use sell-on-fee's especially for younger players. Often use fee's depending on goals scored etc, aswell.

Here's a thought.

Lets say I am managing Man Utd and England at the same time.

I sell any English player with a nice big 'Fee after international appearances' clause on it with the number of games set to 1.

After the player has moved, call them up and bring them on as a sub.

Easy money?

Do sell on frees etc make a big difference when trying to get the lowest price?

I agree with the previous poster and would like to know how mch effect does sell on fee and add ons have on the price of players?

I generally pay up front to avoid bloated fees for non-world class or non essential players. I try to only use installments to pay for one important player in a transfer window and even at that I try to even up the balance sheets by selling so that the difference in players in and out is my original transfer budget amount.

On anything over 10 million I'll try to split 50/50 between upfront and monthly with months varying from 6 to 48 depending on how much I'm willing to pay per month, I try to avoid spending more than 2 million a month for a player.

I try to sell for up front, but have noticed I get a lot more offers and significantly higher fees if I offer a player for a couple million up front and another 10-20 million over monthly installments.

Also I always sell young players with potential with 35%+ sell on fee, and buy players without a sell on fee.
