How expensive was your first XI?

I'm certain that Dawson was £3m as he was part of the Andy Reid deal, and Reid was 5m. Bale was ranging between £5-7m I believe, Crouchie was £8m and i'm not too sure on Defoe, as he was supposedly £15m, but Portsmouth hadn't payed us fully for him but im not sure :S.

Bale's deal involved add-ons which I am assuming he has/will fulfil, taking it to around £10 million total. Defoe was supposed to be around £15 million, but Portsmouth owed us money still, so it was deducted from the 'official' fee.

Crouch's fee seems to range between £8 million and £10 million, depending on who you ask, so I accounted for the more expensive end of the spectrum, and I wasn't sure about Dawson's fee, so I just stuck a number in from the first source I found.

I read whilst on holiday that City had the most expensive first XI followed closely by Chelsea.
Something like 152M for City and 150M for Chelsea. United were next but way off those two.

I'm just waiting for a Man City or Real Madrid fan to post :P
I will post on behalf of Real Madrid, but the problem with them is you don't know who to pick, they are all too good to be left out :P.
Real Madrid possible 2010/11 lineup
Iker Casillas [£0]
Sergio Ramos [£0]
Pepe [£25m]
Ricardo Carvalho [£8m]
Mesut Ozil [£12m]
Xabi Alonso [£30m]
Angel Di Maria [£30m]
Cristiano Ronaldo [£80m]
Kaká [£55m]
Gonzalo Higuaín [£15m]
*I am not completely sure of the prices, but they are approximately accurate.
Total - £225m (£50m in José Mourinho signings, £175m signed by other managers.)
I think Mourinho has brought brilliantly, Carvalho for only £8m is a bargain, considering he brought him for £20m at Chelsea from his former club Porto. Ozil's price is an absolute bargain, considering his reputation. Angel Di Maria is probably the only 'over priced' signing.

Only 10 players listed there.(K)
Looks like you're missing a left back which would probably be arbeloa who cost about 3.5 mil.
Takes it up to 228.5 million pounds.

Might aswell have a shot..

Hart £1.5M

Boateng £10.4M Toure £14M Lescott £22M Kolarov £16M

Milner £34M Barry £12M Toure £24M Robinho £32.5M

Tevez £30M? Silva £25M

I think you'll see that team at some point in the season as it is our strongest. But if Robinho does go out on loan or players are sold/loaned then it could be different. Also, Milner's price includes Stephen Ireland's value. I think we overspend way too much, but you can't deny that we are the only team to do it to challenge for something bigger.

Total: £221,400,000

southampton took early settlement on gareth bale due to being in administration i think same as theo walcot
looking like a bit of bargain for spurs & arsenal im pretty sure saints were not paid 10 million for bale but hey ho :) i was going to post the value of our sunday league team our striker costs 10 **** from the corner shop were i pick him up from hes worth it chips in with 42 a season.

hart is probably the only one that is worth what they paid for him, infact he is probably worth a lot more now.
