Guys,

I have heard before somewhere that you should not sign too many players at the same time due to them not being able to play together etc etc.

So, how many signings is a top end amount to be safe?

To go straight into the first 11?

No more than 2 in any one line. Defense / Mid / Attack or 3 in total at once

Yes to go straight into the first team.

I try not to sign more than 4 in any window but notice other teams sign more than that, often as well.

Interesting answer. Why do you make this distinction?

Probably more applicable to how i'd coach or played in real life than in FM.

Back four with 3 new players takes much game time to prep but integrating 2 much easier. Same across the mid or a completely new front line. Try and keep at least 50% of the row who know what they are doing and where they should be. At least one player in your triangle should set into the system already.

So if I played 4-4-2 I could sign 5

2 Def, 2 Mid & 1 Str that would leave 50% in row

and no more than 3. total. But its your team, but i'd prob put the 3 best straight in preseason, and filter the rest via staggered subs etc.

I don't have a take on it. Just thought it was interesting as I said.

Definitely no more than 5 however, some positions are harder to integrate than others. I've found a new gk can often take several months to settle so be prepared for a did in fortunes. There is no hard and fast rule I've found it depends on the team and the way you manage sometimes.
