First time posting here btw,

So I came across a rather interesting regen, now in my 4th season with Cagliari.

He is a natural center back (currently can not play any other position). The first ideas that come to mind are either to train him to be a deep lying playmaker, considering his high passing or I am intrigued in the idea of training to be a libero, sort of Beckenbauer-esque role. Would be fun to see him sit behind my defenders and make forward runs and assist in a play, although his dribbling is not high neither his flair.

So does anyone have ideas on what would be an effective way to use this player?

i agree with with you on the deep lying playmaker idea, due to his passing an 1st touch bein so high he also works hard for the team just a shame he's creativity isnt higher :(

I should also say that my center backs are set as CB left = central defender - defend and CB right = central defender - cover. Once he is one of my starting center backs I may change one of those to ball playing defender.

Here is my team

He would be a good ball-playing defender but it would be a good idea to retrain him as a DM and play him as a deep-lying playmaker - defend.

Positioning, Creativity and Off the ball movement attributes aren't good enough though and his Flair is awful... Hes got very weird attributes haha.

deep lying playmaker/defend, postioning should be his individual focus, and you want a training schedule that focuses on tactics, and attacking

I would probably let him start playing now, like in your games against weak teams and cup matches, very good prospect IMO

Try using him as an anchor man, and buy Anthony Annan too. Another great anchor man , cheap :)
