How to add reserves

Im currently in me thrid season with Rome and for the first time I got players for the reserves. I mean, in the first two season I didnt have enought players to have a reserve team and there was just sub 20 and 1st team, now that I have players for the reserves I put them there and select my Assistan (Pako Ayestaran) to control the team. But, they dont play, only my sub 20 and my 1st team play.
Am I doing something wrong or is normal with the Italian League ?

That is correct. In Italy there is no reserve team. Is a pain I know. Sorry.

Yes, it is a pain. I got a lof of players that now cant play and also I wanted my sub 20 players to play against harder teams. Last season I won the sub 20 by 20 points, draw 6 matches and won the rest (I got Verratti, Mats Rits and some regens that are amazing).

You could always integrate them into your first team squad? Might give you the option of selling older players, raising a few funds and bringing your Youth Players through a wee bit quicker?

The only other solution I can think of is sending them to a Feeder Club (provided you're getting a new link every 6 months) or place them on the Loan List, chances are that a Lower League side will pick them up and use them a fair bit if they're good enough!

'tis the main reason I rarely play the Italian League, the fact they have no Reserves. Compare that to my Celtic game, end of first Season, signed 36 players! I jacked the vast majority of my Reserves & Youths to make way for them;-) and to be honest, it's paying off.

So I started a Premier with Tottenham and im not playing reserves matches. Im in the 4 match and haven playeed a single reserve match and I look in the fixture and there arent reserve match coming in the future, just sub 18 and 1st team.
