How to becme Man Utd Manager

I've noticed SAF retires in 2012 season ad I have declare my interest in the Man Utd job as Man Utd are currently mid table second seaso in a row and keep losing matches. The Utd board say they are considering me as manager once SAF's situation is resolved? I have released statements about SAF saying he is better suited to alternative employment blah blah but the next week i go to the Man Utd screen and the "declare intrest in job" button comes back. Does that mean im unlikely to gt the job? Im currently managing Tottenham having helped them to back to back league cu and diviion titles after some HEAVY spending oO).
