How to buy playmakers and target men

Hi Guys,
Really new to this so apologies for the dumb question
If i want to buy a midfielder and I want him to be a playmaker, is there a way of finding out if he is a playmaker? And the same with a striker for Targetman.

well you should first scout him then you look at scout report and there is where it says you in which position he plays the best
