Hello guys, I want to buy 4 or 5 starts coaches in order to improve my training. But I dont understand how to do it. How many coaches do you recommend me to have and which atributes ?

there is already a thread, it gives you a maths formula to put the stats in and it gives you the star rating, some genius worked it out :) i cant remember where it is, but ill get back to you if i find it :)

personally, i dont use the calculator. however, the 3 key attributes for coaches would be Determination, Level of Discipline and Motivation, followed by their technical attribute, eg. tactics and therefore, i use the filter to find coaches which have at least 15 for each of these stats and then reduce each attribute by 1 if i cant find anything.

one example is tony colbert, who has very good DDM along with high fitness coaching attribute. he can easily make a 4-5 star coach :D

With coaches, is it alright to have coaches that have say a 19 or 20 on attacking or defending, but then not amazing stats on most other things?

And with training, for a defender should their training be intensive on defending, and light on a few other things?
Thanks in advance.

youd want high attributes in dis., det., and mot. for them to 5 stars, with obvs high atts in the specialised areas :)

and no personally i wouldnt put it on intensive, because youd want strength, aerobic and tactics to be high aswell

thanks for that Posh, been lookin for a shortlist of decent staff :) thats a real help, thanks mate

So is it better just to stick with the pre-made general training ?

well i use dans training, try n find a download for it on the forums, theres a thread with links for both dans and tugs training, both are very good, but after trying both i find dans is better :) some prefer just leaving it to general training, but like most people say, its pointless defenders working on the same stuff as strikers :)

I make my own training which is not to disimilar to Dans - i also make one for goalkeeper and outfield player pre season based on high fitness work, it works a treat with the overall fitness levels of the players during pre season games

Great stuff guys. Thanks to everyone. Im going to try your shortlist now PoshToffee

Well, there are my coaches. Im using Dans training and Im getting very good results in some players (James Rodriguez, Verratti, Milevskyi, Veloso, Adler) but poor results in other players (Vucinic, Kramaric or Sanogo for example). Is it normal or am I doing something wrong with the training ?

Pretty much what everyone else has said, and that shortlist is very useful. Just a little hint, personally I've found that Brazilian teams, Cruzeiro in particular, have many great coaches that can be gotten cheaply as they don't generally ask for much in wages.

What I mean is that I setted a low number of coaches for each training category (only 2). Is this OK or should I set more ? I did it because that was the way in which showed more stars.
