How To Emulate The Rooney Role

I'm having problems with my Liverpool squad. I play Gerrad and Song in midfield with Sanchez and Bebe on the wings. Suarez pairs Carrol up front.

The thing is I'm being dominated in midfield as I play 4-4-2. My defence is great however I cannot seem to get Suarez to play the Rooney role where he drops really deep, roams to link up play and run at the defence. With United in real life, Ferguson plays 4-4-2 which switches to 4-5-1 when Rooney drops deep to join the midfield.

I know I have to tweak and combine the Creativity/Mentality sliders.

Would low mentality and high creativity do the trick to get him deep?

Anyone know?
