How to get a decent price for a player who wants to leave?

I'm in league 1, got a left back who wants to leave to a bigger club. he's valued at 2.2 mil on the game, 4.5 starts.

he's asked to leave so i've listed him, i'm getting a few offers but they're around 1 mil. now he's getting f'd off that i'm rejecting them. clearly worth a lot more

If experience, not much you can do. I try and get his value but usual can't get much more than that or sometimes even close to it.

If he doesn't play then his price will be dropping even further so I'd accept any offer for him

i didn't let him go in the end. i'll see if i get any decent offers in the summer

Let them pay over time rather than all at once.
