Usually I have a good idea of who's going to be sold before the season ends, so in the last few games they'll usually start or come off the bench as it makes selling them much easier and you can usually do so at a good price. Trying to sell players that aren't getting first team football or in your reserve team for a decent price is difficult as others clubs can't really gauge whether or not they'll be a good signing, so make sure you give them a few games before they're sold and you should get a decent price for them.
