Hey guys. So I was thinking. If you're playing in a league without major TV money or competition prizes, how do you make a large profit, without selling on your best players?

Or do you just sell players and buy new young players? What's your take on it? :)

There are 4 principle ways of earning money in Football.
  1. Season tickets: Lump sum at the start of the season and your reputation and league standard set pricing.
  2. Selling players: Major source of income for most teams
  3. Merchandising and TV deals: How marketable your club is; reputation and standard of league help this
  4. Winning trophies: Self explanatory.

Another decent way, if your reputation is reasonable, is to play away friendlies against much bigger clubs during preseason and international breaks. Some will pay quite a bit of cash.
