How to make the game run quicker (FM11)

Got the game yesterday, my laptop is a very decent spec, but the game runs very slowly (half a star) ... anyone got any ideas how I can improve this?

Nothing wrong with my PC its got a Centrino 2 processor its quick, just the game is slow.
