Currently just finished my 1st season save with Liverpool, but the board are being so stingy with the money they are forking out. I'm only getting 35% from transfer revunue and been given 15m to spend for the upcoming season.. its going to be an uphill struggle.

1: Win Competitions
2: Buy players for profit.

Other than that there isn't many other ways within your control, especially with Liverpool as they are a club with debt.

I got to the semi finals on the champions league and finished 3rd in the league.. so its really frustrating.

You need years of winning trophies and it will help if you buy cheap youngsters to make profit from. Just as bullardinho said.

Look for players coming to the end of their contracts which can be sold on for instant profit, also as above buy young and cheap develop them a bit then sell (don't forget to use add-ons o appearances etc).

My advice and this is only what I would do personally, I would sell Sterling (for approx. £40-50m), only because despite his stats, PA and general ‘wonderkid’ status, I honestly never see him amount to too much at all and by the time he is ‘world class’ (that’s if he gets there) there is much better regens that are much cheaper.

I would then probably sell Sturridge (approx. £30m), again as I think there are much better options available for less, plus Balotelli is an absolute monster this year.

Then just look at reinvesting the money you get from them into cheap youngsters with bags of potential, within 2-3 seasons you could easily have amassed £200-300m!

But that’s just me..

Thank you!

That's wierd. I also came 3rd and went to the CL Semis and I had something like 30-35m. :P

They must have been a bit generous, i was beginning to wonder if Mike Ashley had stakes in my club lol!!

I also won the Capital cup.

It also depends on your spending obviously, from your thread I did not catch how much you spent and received during the first season, but if you bought some players with monthly payments for example, that lowers the budget for following seasons.

I've signed Romero, and a few youngsters. But i never use monthly installments.. i usually just buy players upfront.

you have to gain atleast 70% of the boards trust in finance wise. plus sell players for profit and biggest one is win competitions like serious ones e.g premier league and CL. also gain a feeder club for commercial reasons e.g america.

This is what I usually do with Liverpool If I want a save in which I want crazy money 2 seasons in.

1. First Season - Sell Lucas (20 mil), Johnson (15mil), Enrique (10 mil), Skrtel (10 mil) and Borini (10-12mil). Buy Depay, Tielemans, Romero, Gil Romero/Kranevitter, Balanta and Try to get in Ruben Neves and Adama Traore on Loans with option to buy and try for Zaza (If I'm playing 2 strikers). Plus the usual players for the future on installments and performance linked clauses (Ajer, Jovic/Bonazolli, Vallejo)

2. After first season, whichever position I finish in. I sell Lallana, Joe Allen, Lovren, Lambert, Moreno and sell Sturridge also. Now here is how I go about it, I offer these players out for twice their value and then negotiate. Sturridge I have sold for 30 mil (When he has a bang average season) to 70 mil (City/Arsenal anytime he scores over 20 goals). He is very injury prone. I then proceed to buy Clyne, Koscielny (If Arsenal had a poor season)/ Vertonghen, Sule, Aaron Cresswell, Giroud/Llorente and any one out of Aboubakar, Higuain, Barbossa, Berardi). I then try for Ruilli. Another thing, I never used to sell Sterling until he started with this contract fiasco in real life (I'm a Liverpool supporter!), Now I try to get clubs to play **** loads of cash for him or use him as a bargaining chip to get Phil Jones/Ramsey/Wilshere/Shaw. I also make the moves for Ruben Neves and Adama Traore permanent.

I usually have a world class team by season 3 and the board also makes about 70% of transfer revenue available by season 3 and 100% by season 4.

Though I start with first window disabled when I am playing Liverpool ( a serious save when I won't splurge or sell and continue using the present core as my nucleus.)

EDIT- Never and I mean NEVER sell Balotelli. (He is the polar opposite of his real life self in the game)

EDIT 2 - I also forgot to mention that I sell Aspas, Assaidi, Luis Alberto, Coates in the second season. Usually these sales get me 25 mil in the bank too.

Step 1 is always clear out the no-hopers in your reserve team who are being paid decent wages.

When trying to make Wrexham the best club in the world I just always bought players aged 21 or under who usually accept low wages. That way if they didn't quite make the grade I could sell them for a decent profit aged 23-25.

Every time an agent says his player deserves a new contract I always tell the player to sack the agent. They seemed to do this 9 times out of 10 especially if it is a first teamer who trusts you for playing them regularly. I only give them a new contract once they have 1 year left on the current one.

I just sold Sterling and Sturridge and replaced them with Vietto and Barbosa, so will play them both as a F9 and have Ballotelli as my AF.

In my 1st season i sold.. Borini, Toure, Allen, Skrtel, Enrique and Lovren

2nd season..I sold L Alberto, Aspas, Lambert, Sturridge, Sterling, Ibe, Coates

Which i have accumulated 128m from these Transfers. I've spent £68m but i had to Barbosas agent 25m on top of his transfer also.

I have a good squad now. Hope it works out.
