How to make your tactic last longer

the ai doesnt cheat. the ai isnt clever enough to cheat. if it was it wouldnt be so useless at corners. if you contantly play an aggressive attacking 4-4-2 for example, eveuntaly, like in real life teams adapt, so the team will play a counter-attacking 4-5-1 instead. this is where you earn your dues as a manager. you know hes gonna sit back, switch to control, play wider stretch the oppositon

think of barcelona, for all their lethal attacking prowess they attack the same way, play wider, and attack through the middle. you get deep and narrow play counter attack football, they cant break through and you can pick them off. you dont need to cheat to win, just be a better manager.

tactics are evolving all the time in real life, what makes you think it doesnt happen in fm?

in real life your Man Utd never loses against Hull at home, because their manager suddenly found the magic counter tactic against you.. that is not realistic for sure.

to be honest FM is not real football simulation, it depends purely on statistics on every thing. If you ever noticed a player will have almost same stats (goals/assists/Av Rate) in every season, what the heck is that? it is like whatever you do with this particular player he cannot have more than 9 assists or more than 7.01 av.rating per season.
in real life alex ferguson is a much better manager than you or i.

I think the madsheep2001 said it all really...
You simply can't use one tactic for an entire season and expect to win, there always a counter. There is no one super tactic no matter how well it works against the majority of sides. Inevitably the AI's tactics will change and teams will adapt to play you just like in real life, so you just have to learn to do the same back to them.
The AI does not cheat and it doesn't "crack" your tactics like it did in previous games.

Interesting theory, but I have used the same tactic for three seasons, and it has not lost it's effectiveness. But, subtle changes to it, such as changing your advanced forward to a target man now and again keeps it from going stale.

exactly its all about the little changes here and there. alex ferguson makes little changes from game to game, how can people expect not to make the same changes from season to season?

hey all
i'm sorry i dont totally agree with you
if your tac starts to fail after 1-2 seasons then it wasn't that good anyway
the way you counter these so called AI hacks is simple
TOUCHLINE INSTUCTIONS

I have to add that it is better to slightly change the fake tactic that you use as a decoy, that is because there is a slight chance that your tactic get cracked if you use same fake tactic over and over !

like if you use 4-2-2-2 as a tactic and 4-2-2 as decoy then change the 4-4-2 slightly (ex: change 1 player position) from time to time to mix things up.

same tactic 3rd season
results getting better

good job beating R.Madrid with Man Utd 9-0 !!!! you must be super genius manager or super cheater (no offense) ...

Is not about downloading a tactic from a site, and use the same tactic for 5 seasons...
I make changes every game depending on the opponent, maybe the size of the pitch, that's why your scouts spy your next opponents, so you may know what to do...
I always have a tactic for home matches, which I'm sure I'll win, and if I'm playing with Wolves against Chelsea I change it so my team will be more cautious against those kind of teams. Now I'm in 4th season, with Wolves, lost 1 game and draw 1 and being 1st. 6 Points away from second place :).

I think this is a good theory, might try it later in another save... It makes a lot of sence :)

also beat fulham 7-0 after that
as for being a cheat, i,ve played mangement games that date as far back as 88, being 26 i consider that to be a great feat in itself
check out tactics section for a 4-3-3 base tac i uploaded
SEE FOR YOURSELF
