How to not isolate a lone Striker...

Hi, its pre season for me

I am LFC
Suarez has been seriously underperforming up top on his own and cannot see why...

My midfield looks like this

LCM - BWM Defend
RCM - BBM Support
AMC - APM Attack
LW - IF Support
RW - IF Support
and then ill have my striker, Suarez or Aspas preferably playing as an advanced forward but they both play awful as this and a poacher as well...I may try F9 but then surely he will disrupt my APM?

I've noticed forwards get marked out of the game since 14.2 patch, check his passes, you'll rarely find in attacking third and sometimes forwards end game with zero shots attempted.
False 9 seems best solution ATM, it even got Fernando Torres playing well, or Target Man like Mitrovic, who can assert his physical presence against defenders.

The problem with False 9 is, they tend to take ridiculous long shots. Using F9 won't disrupt your Playmaker at all, though.

Support Duties such as F9, DLF-S, CF-S etc. and Attack Duties in midfield such as AP-A, CM-A, W-A etc.

PPMs like Drops Deep for ST roles. Gets Forwards, Gets Into Area for Midfield roles.

I notice this too. I think that the best solution is to either play with 2 strikers or use the lone striker to pull the CBs out of position for your wingers and AMs to score.

TM(At) with AM(S) and AML Wingers(At) seems to work out excellently for me, with both Lukaku and Mitrovic scoring around 25 Goals a season.

The problem with a lone striker is that he needs to both act as the creator and scorer. Focus on getting his role be a sporting player while his PPM's will get him into attacking areas.

A DLF(s) or TM(s) would work well with him.
I tend to avoid lone striker formations as I find they severely limit the effectiveness of your striker unless you've a dominant midfield contingent. Liverpool is very good on the break but brittle if the opponent controls possession. I find the key to them is utilizing Coutinho as a creator and Suarez as a scorer (in whatever formation/roles you find works for them)

It helps to be specific otherwise people may mistake what you mean and end up attacking you.
