How to re-negotiate contracts

Hey.

I hear of people re-negotiating players contracts.. for example if I was to be Newcastle.. Collocini is on like £80,000 a week and is really taking up a load of my wage budget. When I try to offer him a new contract, he wont even go any lower than £90,000 a week.. any ideas on how I can negotiate lower contracts. I know it's easier as players are like in there mid 30s as they get older and are not as good. PLEASE HELP!!! ;-)

Not too sure on coloccini, however when i re-negotiated with Enrique and Barton they wanted around £120,000 per week. What i did was offered them 5k less that there original contract with the same bonuses etc, the agent then demanded higher wages, this time i once again offered 5k lower than original wage however put there appearance fee up by 2-3k, they then accepted the contract, this would save me around 5k a week each which isnt bad considering the amount they wanted in the first place, there is also an option on the private chat where you can ask the player to reduce wage demands, when does coloccini's contract run out?

Well I tryed this with Collocini but he really was having none of it. I will definitely give it another try though. I didn't know there was an option to ask a player to lower his wage demands. Is it when you speak with them in a private chat, yeah? and can't really remember, its in an online game.

yeah its in the private chat section, not sure whether or not you have to enter talks with him first though. i suppose the best option is let it run down in the final year and eventually his demands will decrease, not much use for instant wage saves though, no problem and good luck with it
 
Just on the private chat for the contract demands...

I have never been able to do that, it's never an option...don't know why.
