how to reconnect to a network game, plz help

Me and my brother started a network game through Ethernet to Ethernet cable, but I saved the game and we both stopped playing and then I could rejoin the game as I was the server, but my brother could not, every time he tried to rejoin it just created him as a new user, how do u rejoin the game as the same manager? Can anyone help please

on the game status screen the person needs to click not connected next to their name, a box pops ups that will ask you if you want to reconnect as that player
