Reynolds announced Terriers top man!
Disappointingly Simon Grayson was forced to resign from Huddersfield Football Club due to personal medical reasons, Dean Hoyle took the decision quickly to give rookie manager Reynolds his first opportunity in football management.

Reynolds first job as Huddersfield manager is to take control of his first press conference, something that has been told will be something of a rarity due to the assistant manager being given the responsibilities of the future press conferences, however during this first press conference it was announced that Reynolds believes this job to be his dream job, stating that it would be very difficult to replace a man with the stature of Simon Grayson. There was also questions about transfer policies and targets floating about, however Reynolds remained quiet on these issues choosing not to disclose too much information.

On the first day at the training ground the squad turn up unsure of what to make of the new man in charge, opportunities are there to make their point and press their claim for first team football for the following season. Glynn Snodin took charge of the first training session with Reynolds looking on from the side lines to see what quality he had at his disposal.

Transfer Action:
In:
Mateja Kazman - no club - trial 4 weeks - One time Chelsea striker, never quite clicked in the premiership has been given 4 weeks to prove his talents at Huddersfield.
Big money transfer (well in league 1 standards) - Abdoulaye Cisse - Masry - £180k - A random scouting trip turns up this 27 year old who has pace to burn, a pricey move, but lets see if he can cut it in the English leagues.
Jamal Blackman - Chelsea - Loan - Blackman has been loaned in to provide competition for the Goalkeepers top.
Michael Keane - Manchester United - Loan - Again a young player who is to provide competition for places in the squad.
Brian Howard - Reading - Loan - A good midfielder to push the rest of the team on wards, his experience will be a great asset for the younger players.
Mateja Kezman - Free Contract - Impressed while on his trial at the club. Again his experience will help along his fellow strikers.

Out:
Joey Goudjonsson - Derby - £40k - Reynolds felt that although Joey was a good player that he did not fit into his plans for the season so felt it only fair to offer him to other clubs, an offer that Derby snapped up. All the best to Joey for the following season.
Danny Cadamarteri - Swindon - £24k - Same reason as Joey, with the added benefit of freeing up some wage budget and transfer money.

Pre-season Friendlies:

Huddersfield Vs Huddersfield Reserves:

On the first pre season fixture of the season Huddersfield beat their name sake reserve side 4-1, interestingly all four goals were scored by midfielders, with Danny Ward, Oscar Gobern * 2 and Kallum Higginbotham getting on the score sheet. It was a very easy paced game, a nice game to get the team up and running for the rest of the campaign.

Huddersfield Vs Chelsea Reserves:

A superb performance so early in pre season with a 5-0 victory over a much more fancied opposition. On the score sheet on this occasion was Alan Lee, Danny Ward, Jamal Blackman own goal and a brace from Lee Novak. Fingers crossed that this form continues deep into the season.

Hamilton Academical Vs Huddersfield:

First away trip of pre season but the results are staying the same. This time a hard fought 2-1 victory for the terriers. Trialist Kezman was in the action on his first appearance, firstly being denied a penalty before executing a sublime chip from outside the box a couple minutes later. After a Hamilton goal it was left to Gary Roberts to seal the victory late on. A good start for Kezman, looking promising for the offer of a contract.

Huddersfield Vs Middlesbrough:

It had to come at some point, and that point is here. a 4-2 loss at home is very disappointing, especially when having the best of things during the tie. Goals from Peter Clarke and Kallum Higginbotham. Perhaps it was the gap in the divisions or maybe it was just the 'Boro forwards taking their chances. What ever the reasons, lessons will be learnt from this performance.

There were a few more pre season games, but none were played with a full strength team, more a blend of youth and first team players, as such the rest of the friendlies ended in mixed results.

But onto the first game of the season:
Home Vs Rochdale:

First game first win in the league, 3-1 victory and the team was looking promising. The goals started off with a own goal from Rochdale full back Dean Holden, this was followed by goals from Jordan Rhodes and Danny Ward. Akpa-Akpro pulled one back late on but was merely a consolation goal. A man of the match performance from Goalkeeper Ian Bennett was another positive to come from the game. Cisse had his debut, he played well if not outstanding but there was certainly room for optimism for the striker. Unfortunately there was a serious injury to starting left back Gary Naysmith who has suffered a torn calf muscle and will be out for 4 to 5 months. Maybe a short term loan will be looked into for this position.

League Cup 1st Round:
Home Vs Bury:

A controlling victory in this 1st round tie, ending in a 4-0 victory. Rhodes bagged 2 goals, Cisse got his first for the club along with Sean Morrison. Kezman came on in the closing stages to make his first team competitive debut. A man of the match performance from Kallum Higginbotham.

League game no. 2:
Away Vs Yeovil:

A tough game so early in the season, a game of many chances but few clear cut, attempts on target. Not surprisingly the game finished 0-0, a result the terriers fans seemed happy with. A man of the match performance from Callum Woods was a good point raised from the game.

Two big injuries in the days following the Yeovil game, firstly Lee Novak sustained strained ankle ligaments after twisting painfully in training, it is expected that Novak will be out for 5 to 7 weeks. The second injury was to Sean Morrison who is now suffering from a damaged Achilles tendon, Morrison is set to be out for 3 to 4 months. Hopefully the rest of the team will step up to the challenge over the following weeks.

League game no. 3:
Home Vs Wycombe Wanderers:

A solid performance today from the terriers. Although a comfortable performance there was a trouble putting the ball in the back of the net, only on one occasion did the ball hit the net, that was thanks to Cisse via a deflection. A welcomed 3 points and a second consecutive man of the match performance from Callum Woods.

League game no. 4:
Away Vs Preston North End:

A frustrating game for both the fans and the manager for both sides. A match with errors occurring left right and centre, errors which led to all 4 goals in a 2-2 draw. Highlighted many areas for Reynolds to take to the training ground to improve on this performance in the future. However this game could easily of resulted in a loss, so positives must be taken from the point that the terriers walk away from Deepdale with.

League Cup round 2:
Away Vs Reading:

A disappointing performance from the terriers, and a result that was truly deserved at full time. A 4-1 loss was suffered by the terriers. Reading were 3-0 up before Jordan Rhodes got a consolation goal. Lessons need to be learnt if the terriers are serious about going for promotion.

League game no. 5:

Home Vs Notts County:

An evenly matched game ended in a 3-2 victory to Notts County. A result which left the home fans hurting at the final whistle. The terriers took their time to get into the match, going 2 goals down before getting up the full speed. It looked as though it was heading for a draw when a late Notts goal condemned the terriers to another defeat. The good start to the season seems to be slipping away and must be addressed quickly if promotion is still to be the aim for the season.

Paul Pogba was loaned in from Manchester United on a 3 month basis, this should help bring stability to the midfield. Especially with Tommy Miller suffering an injury for 2 weeks.

League game no. 6:
Away Vs Chesterfield:

Finally the pieces of the puzzle seem to be fitting all together, a good performance from the terriers. A 4-1 victory was the result. A Drew Talbot own goal and a Jordan Rhodes hat trick put a glossy finish on the performance. Rhodes also collected the man of the match award to go with his 3 goals.

League game no. 7:
Home Vs Colchester United:

A controlling performance from start to finish from the terriers ensured a comfortable 5-1 victory. Jordan Rhodes claimed another goal to open the scoring which was quickly followed up by a Cisse effort putting the terriers 2-0 to the good. After conceding a goal just before half time it was in the second half that the Huddersfield players stepped up their game with goals from Brain Howard, Scott Arfield and Mateja Kezman. Overall a good performance from the team with midfield maestro Brian Howard picking up the man of the match award.

League game no. 8:

Away Vs Tranmere Rovers:

After two positive performances, and racking up 9 goals in the process, the terriers went down to a 2-1 loss to Tranmere Rovers. As with some of the early season games it was defensive errors that cost Huddersfield the points, a slight positive to come from the game was another goal from Jordan Rhodes. Poor performance from the defenders which really left the away support leaving frustrated with what they had seen.

Paul Pogba, who has had a good run of games in the terriers midfield has sustained a twisted knee in a training exercise and will miss 3 to 4 weeks.

League game no. 9:

Home Vs MK Dons:

After the poor performance of last week this game was billed as a tough clash, however this was not the case, an outstanding performance from start to finish. Resulting in a 5-0 victory, goals from Danny Ward and Cisse as well as another hat trick from Rhodes left the terriers fans leaving the Galpharm Stadium in a dream state over that 90 minute performance.

League game:

Away Vs Leyton Orient:

A tough game, and a good victory to come out with in the end. A 1-0 victory with Danny Ward claiming the only goal. The victory was saved by a last minute triple stop from veteran goalkeeper Ian Bennett. Danny Ward claimed the man of the match of award.

After a short trial period, experience defender Sol Campbell has signed a contract with Huddersfield town. Reynolds believes that with Campbell's experience the back line can be tightened up. Campbell will not be in contention for first team football straight away, due to lack of match fitness but in the run in to Christmas he could be ready for games, especially with the busy schedule.

Jordan Rhodes claimed the September player of the month award with Danny Ward and Peter Clarke coming second and third respectively. Reynolds also finished third in the manager of the month award.

League game:

Home Vs Sheffield United:

Another billed to be a tough game but that never quite was the case. An outstanding performance from the terriers, dominating from start to finish, but even with that the score line was something out of fairy tales. 8-0 was the final score. Danny Ward opened the scoring and then doubled his account soon after, Kallum Higginbotham added a third. This was just the start of the scoring, but with only one more goal scorer to get on the score sheet the rest of the game was a joy to behold. Jordan Rhodes bagged another hat full of goals, on this occasion grabbing 5 goals and picking up the man of the match award to go with it. What a performance from the young lad.

Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Decent story mate, try and get some screenshots in though, not only does it make your story look nicer, it basically shows what you can write in a paragraph as a picture.
