Huge problem with Patch 10.3.0!

So my friends got FM10 via steam and has just downloaded the 10.3.0 the first patch hes downloaded and its now saying insert disc when he never had a disc in the first place??

Need some solutions or answers here?!!

why has he just got it no? steam updates automatically, if hes downloaded it noy by steam he may have screwed up his install. the game will never ask you for the key

its not asking for the key its asking to insert disc, when it was installed by steam, hes a bit of an amateur and didnt realise steam installed the patches for you
