I'm hearing whispers that the Orange one's gardening leave may not necessarily have to do with the football, and everything to do with what went on under Duffen. Totally scurrilous stuff as Duffen settled with Hull out of court rather than face going through a civil prosecution with criminal implications over financial mismanagement.
Still, Dowie? I know they wanted a quick fix just til the end of the season, but Dowie? In fairness to him he's had spells of doing a decent job at clubs and got horribly built up for a fall. Good luck to him - think Hull's time in the PL should last a lot longer than it has already; I remember cold nights on the terraces at Boothferry far too well
