Game no. 2 in the Turkish League.
We drew 0-0 against Gaziantepspor. A clean sheet for us but our attack was blunt. We needed to do better going forward. It is okay though, a point is a point and at least we did not lose. We move on to the next game.
Europa League Group I Game 1
We drew 2-2 against VfL Wolfsburg. Fernandao scored his goal in the first few minutes of the game and then Diego Morales scored. After that in the second half, Carlos Ascues scored for Wolfsburg and then Ricardo Rodriguez scored a goal through a penalty. It was a pretty entertaining draw, but we need to continue these good performances.
Game no. 3 in the Turkish League
We beat Adanaspor 4-1. Diego Morales scored the opener. Then Higor Leite scored. After that Fernandao scored a hat trick. One of the goals was a penalty. We move on to the next game. This was an excellent performance and hopefully we continue such performances.
Game no. 4 in the Turkish League
We lost 1-0 to Kasimpasa. We were unlucky in this game. We created a lot of chances, but it just wasn't to be. David Pavelka scored a sensational long range goal to help them win the game. Hopefully we pick up some better results in the upcoming games.
Europa League Group I Game 2
We beat Qarabag 1-0. A very narrow win, but a win is a win. So I will take it. We created a lot of chances and we should have scored more. Fernandao scored the goal to win the game for us, he also missed a penalty and luckily it did not have any impact on the result. We move on to the next game.
Daley Sinkgraven is now injured and will be out for 4-6 weeks. Fernandao is injured and is out for 1-2 days. Hopefully both of them recover from their injuries well.
Game no. 5 in the Turkish League.
We lost 1-0 to Osmanlispor. A very bad loss. Aminu Umar scored the only goal for them to help them win. We had some chances but we did not take them unfortunately. We need to find a way to recover in the league. Hopefully the next few games bring out good performances.
Game no. 6 in the Turkish League
We beat Galatasaray 4-3. What a great derby win for us. Lukas Podolski opened the scoring. Then Fernandao scored a goal to equalize. After that Alper Potuk, Bradley Dack and Gokhan Ic scored goals for us. Then Lukas Podolski scores another goal and Bruno Gomes scores a goal for them to pull it back to 4-3. A derby win is a great gift to the supporters of the club and it was also a great game for the neutrals. Hopefully these good performances continue.
Europa League Group I Game 3
We lost 1-0 to Hajduk Split. This was not a good performance. Pablo Perez scored a goal for them to help them win the game. Our attack was not very good and we struggled to create chances. Defensively we were okay though. The team need to be better overall and I am looking for a better performance in our upcoming games.
Game no. 7 in the Turkish League
We lost 2-1 to Basaksehir. This was not a good game at all. Edin Visca two goals, he scored the opener as well as the goal to win us the game. Fernandao scored an equalizer after the opening goal but it was not enough for us to secure the win. We were poor defensively and have a lot of work to do. Also Fernandao missed a penalty. So we have to improve in that too. We move on to the next game and hopefully there are better performances in the upcoming games.
