I just bought a player, but can't play him: "Needs work permit". WTF?

What do I need to do to play him? I can't use him in ANY of my games.

It went without a problem to sign the player, but I can't play him.

what team are you? i would imagine your in england, if so, send them to a team in spain for 2 -3 season then they get a work permit

In your affiliated clubs you will have a club to send players on loan to gain work permits, that is the only way you can sign players who would normally need a work permit without gaining a work permit. If you want to stop this happening again then cancel the link with that team but you can send the player who needs the permit to this club to gain the work permit.

Send him to any EU-member country to gain the nationality then get him back or simply sell him

Yes I am playing in Premier Division. Can I send him to a Serbian Feeder club?
