I honestly couldn't recommend the MSi range enough, excellent specs, excellent build quality, good battery life, very light, free case with them. because I'm away alot I don't get to use my desktop as much as i'd like so took the plunge on a decent laptop and it's one of the best purchases i've made in a long time.

Can't find information on graphics card, but judging by the CPU, I'd say it would struggle. The CPU clocks in at a mere 1.1GHz, the big selling point on this line of CPU's is that they are fanless. All in all, you're grossly overpaying if you go with this, for the fanless CPU, 2-in-1 feature, 512GB of SSD, and Quad HD screen, which, on a 13 inch screen, wouldn't give you much value. Most laptops, even high-end, tops out at 256GB for solid-state, with the majority offering 128 or HDD.

Unless money is not an issue or you have a pressing need for the feature, I'd shy away from 2-in-1's. They're not the best of both worlds they claim to be, they're the worst of both.

Exactly, the MSi link I posted to the laptop I have has the 128gb x 2 SSD in Raid 0 and the 1tb HDD, nvidia 970m and 16gb Ram

Try pcspecialist.co.uk mate. You can build your own laptop on there with whichever specs you you want. I looked and you can configure one with the exact same specs as that MSI one and it only comes to £890 as opposed to £1400

Thank you all for your help, i do appreciate it. Mancmalaga, im not sure on the looks of that laptop at all but i will keep it in mind for definite. I have also found another option if some of you could please give it a look over - Buy LENOVO Y50-70 15.6” 4K Gaming Laptop - Black | Free Delivery | Currys

I love the idea of having a 4k laptop but as ive said im just not good at interpretting technical specs so if you could advise on whether fm will run and if so, how well. Thanks everyone.

If you are just looking to play FM then there is no need to pay so much for a laptop, I got this laptop (Buy LENOVO Z50-70 15.6" Laptop - White | Free Delivery | Currys) at the start of the month pretty much just for FM and am very happy with it, there is also a cheaper i5 version that would also be fine for your needs.

For me FM runs fast and I've had no problems running the match engine on high, really though it depends on how many leagues you want to run. If you just want key European leagues etc then this is more than enough, if however you want to run something crazy like 60+ leagues then yes you need to push the boat out, but really why bother with so many leagues!?
