Hey guys, i have seen a few guides for the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool so i though i could maybe do one for Manchester City.

I would choose Title challenge as i wouldn't want to put too much pressure on myself to win the league and also if you underachieve you could face the sack

You have two good keepers with Given and Hart but Gonzalez isn't the best of keepers so i would recommend offloading him either on loan or permanently, after that you will need another keeper in case Given or Hart gets injured, for me i would sign Guillermo Ochoa from America (Mexico).

You have a fairly strong defence if you play Richards, Toure, Kompany and Kolorov, I believe that your weak point in defence would be Bridge so i would try to offload him and sign Maxwell of Barcelona and maybe another CB like Toulalan of Lyon.

Midfield

I feel that the midfield is the strongest part of this team but you have a few midfielder that may not fit into your style of play. For me i would try and sell De Jong and try to loan out Etuhu. You may wan't to sign another central midfield and i recommend Marco Verratti as back up.

Strikers

As you can see you are short on strikers so i would recommend bringing in one or two more even though you have a lot of talent there, I would try and sign Edin Dzeko as a target man and maybe Rivaldo and Lukaku . Rivaldo would more than likely be a seat warmer on the bench but if a main striker gets injured he could easily step in, Lukaku would be one for the future but he is a very good player now.

Romelu Lukaku - £2,500,000 straight up (£5,000,000 over 48 monts)
Edin Dzeko - £26,000,000
Mladen Petric - £10,000,000

I would recommend that you sign some world class staff to work with your team, i recommend Valter Di Salvo , Franco Baldini and Brian Eastick . If you know any others then be my guest to post them.

never £26 mil for Dzeko? i think i got him for £13 mil i one of my games which was pretty jammy considering all the others i got him around £18 to £22 mil! :)
 
In my Arsenal game, I got Dzeko for £10mil and Richards for free!

No offence mate but your going to be paying £80+ grand a week for a player to sit on the bench :S

IMO there are a couple of things like that.....why Ochoa for a 3rd GK? Seems totally unnecessary......of course City does totally unnecessary things all the time so no big deal.

I played them for a season, did not have as much fun with them as I thought I would. Too many bad attitude/low determination players for me. And while Barry/Milner/Toure/DeJong are good players I couldn't work the midfield into anything I liked. Personally I would never get rid of DeJong, he's one of the best destroyers around.

If i was playing as Man City i wouldn't be signing Rivaldo either hes got no future hes too old now, id be signing top young players and loads of youth, De jong is a great dmc so i wouldn't be selling. Imo with Man city like in any big club with financial clout you should be getting a squad of 22 good players 1 in each position and some utility.

Still this guide could be of help to some people new to the game.
 
you've got to sign a good amc, m8. If not the whole building up will be left to silva who really is great in the wing...

yeah, but apart from silva i don't find them very good at ACM... none of them have the creativity needed for an attacking midfielder
 
Why the **** would you get rid of Nigel de Jong?
He's a very good ball-winning midfielder.

Exactly, I will probably make a guide for Man City - but how to make it not too easy.

Take your pick from some of the best players for each position. City has a massive transfer budget and it can get even bigger when you offload the dead weight.
