Last year broke my foot in two places and tore all the tendons on the top of it, looked horrendous, it had a huge lump on top of it and it broke the skin so the wound was open as well, looked awful but didn't take any pics sadly.

Back playing better than ever at powerleague now but still haven't got back into any 11-a-side, hoping to get back into some serious training in the next few weeks.

Thats gotta hurt mate, at least you made a full recovery.
The worst injury I have had was breaking my thumb, I will the goalie.

Doesn't look nice at all. I saw an injury like this IRL but in a Rugby training game (sadly my school didn't play football, crazy I know), where this kids shin literally looked like it was cut in half. It was so disgusting to look at, I'll try find some pictures of it :P, the cut was so deep it was scary.

Only injury I have ever had besides bruises and small knocks is this injury - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chondromalacia_patellae

Got diagnosed with that in both of my knees 4/5 years ago, not been able to run since then because of the pain it causes, seriously nasty. I often get pains in my right knee purely from walking these days. Also got told I have too much fluid in my knees.

I once broke someone's toe in a game (6)

Wee ******* up front was annoying me, so for the next header I stood on his foot and apparently I broke his toe. Felt a bit bad afterwards but oh well.

that dont sound to good :O. i got 2 pins and 6 screws in my leg as well, gta have them out at some point!

started playing again as i cant seem to keep away from the pitch, tried coaching but its not the same as playing!!

ive broke my right leg in november 2008 playing footie at youth club and some pricked tackled me than stamped on me when i was on the floor and my femur bone split and went round each other, than had a metal plate in their for a year and a bit and recently had it out lol

lol,my did for a while but i see my leg day in day out now its a convo starter with the girls were as the bloke that done it still a ugly mf :P

Them pictures are nasty, I haven't got any pics of my injuries as they was a good number of years ago but I did have to have my eyelid/eyebrow glued-don't know what it qualifies as, as it was inbetween both... but basically I leapt like a salmon for the ball and this idiot stuck his foot up.. didn't feel anything at first but then it started bleeding badly...just lucky he didn't take my eye out

I ruptured my ACL last year, wasn't the lads fault tbh. We just tangled legs and I came off worse. He was gutted about it too mind he hasn't played footy since though neither have I.

I chipped a bone in my ankle, that hurt like a *****, and i sprained my finger, that also hurt like a ***** :P

i have never broken a bone in my body (touchwood) I have played professional Rugby for years and Premier club football! i have dislocated my thumbs from snowboarding! 3 times each! i had a haemotoma in my ankle from rugby, my collar bones have crossed each other (just nerve damage) water on the knee! couple of sprains here and there! but i have been lucky! i am a machine though so.... :)

the worst injury i have had is probably tearing my hip muscle of the bone and coming in at a close second would be tearing my LCL and i am only 15

My worst injury was of my own doing, torn quadriceps attachment
A lot of my injuries seem to be self inflicted, I managed to give myself a bleeding nose today while playing "school-yard" football lol
