Ronaldo has issues. pure and simple. HE just likes transfer talk and money!

I should know. I am writing his fm story!
Wouldn't be surprised if after the 5 year contract he signs a 2 year deal with the devils.

New of the world, fantastic source, he wouldnt comeback to the rain,

You aren't a Manchester United fan, obviously and the poll isn't whether or not people want Ronaldo in their team,it's whether or not the Manchester United fans would accept him back.

He left for £80million and it did hurt us a bit,but I was wondering if we would take him back if we had the opportunity.

Please read the poll instead of making judgments on what you think it says.

It doesn't change what I said? :S

Who would say no to him joining... nobody

he would be older, lack pace, and have a style (and a build) similar to Mark Viduka.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo says he is "missing" former club Manchester United - and revealed he would not rule out a return to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo left Old Trafford last summer in a world record £80m move to fulfil his dream of becoming a 'Galactico' and has settled into life with the Spanish giants.

But the Portuguese winger admits he misses life with Sir Alex Ferguson's side, where he won three Premier League titles and the Champions League, opening the door for a sensational return.

Ronaldo told the News of the World: "Of course I miss playing for Manchester United.

"Not just the club but my friends are still there, too. I played there for six years and that's a long time. Whenever I have the opportunity, I watch them play.

"I am still interested in watching Manchester United and, you never know, maybe in the future I could return to play there. It's always possible.

"I will not say I am not happy here at Real Madrid. I am really happy and everyone knows this is my club but, of course, I miss Manchester United, the boss, the players, because I left family there.

"I want to fulfil my contract here but, in the future, only God knows."

ID LIKE HIM BACK AT UNITED BUT HE LOST ALOT OF TRUST IN ME AND THE OTHER FANS

I voted no, purely because I don't see the point in this thread :/

this thread is so pointless it is unbielievable. He only left 6 months ago, he isnt coming back anytime soon. he would be welcomed back, as he is the best. Simple really why make a thread? and this was a news of the world report. not the best source. Could utd afford him? NO. so lets leave it there. Ronaldo is brilliant but not coming back soon.

Scott coming from you who reported that United were signing someone on reports from his friend. Not exactly a reliable source is it?

What club WOULDN'T have Christiano Ronaldo!?

This is aimed at the Utd fans, but Ronaldo didn't betray United or anything..? Alex Ferguson was involved in the 80M profit i'm sure. I don't see the point in this thread either guys. :(

i said at the time not reliable. and it was martin ferguson going into madrid. i didnt say they where signing someone at all. i said there was a possiblity that someone could be joining or even leaving.

so whats your point

I'd love him in our team, but if I'm honest I wouldn't have him back. It would unsettle the whole team if he came back because everytime he played he would overshadow the team and no player is bigger than their club. Of course I'd love him at Manchester United, but not since he left. I'd rather he hadn't gone, but since he has done, we have moved on and are doing much better without him than I thought we would do.
So yeah, I wouldn't have him back in our team anytime soon, because even if we got him free, the fact we re-signed him would cause a lot of speculation and a media frenzy causing the whole squad to become unsettled. So the answer to your question FOR ME would be no, I wouldn't have him back at Manchester United.

I'd love for Ronaldo to come back, he'd be more mature after his time at Real, less fancy, just a complete whippit goal threat. If he signed for Man City, i'd cry, he is an amazing player, i'd defo welcome him back with open arms.

But if Messi wanted to join... Ronaldo could **** off back to Portugal (H)

i would drive him from the airport to carrington myself to sign the contract if he ever wanted to come back.

hes a massive **** for sure, but you cant argue with his class, only messi is in the same league at the moment, and its very unlikely he will ever leave the camp nou.

dont quite understand people saying it will never happen. it wont happen anytime soon, and almost certainly not in fergies remaining time as manager. but lets not forget united made him the player he is today, he has a lot to thank us for. he was a petulant teenager off the field and a one trick pony on it before he arrived. even during his first year to 18 months he was pretty dissapointing with little end product after his stepovers. united may not have been able to address his off field attitude much, but fergie and the coaching staff moulded him into the complete player.

i imagine if this second galactico experiment at madrid goes as **** up as the last one did, then he may well walk away after his contract expires, meaning anyone (including united) will be able to sign him.

I just don't see it happening.:S
Be happy to have him back but lets be honest the real madrid situation will never get that bad that he runs down his contract. And even if he suddenly flops massively real would still want a massive amount of money if we were to buy him. It really isn't going to happen.

If he played for Portsmouth in a shock twist that he supported Pompey as a child and had ambitions to carry them to the Champions League final until he's 40? :P:$<);)
it'd be cool, but, he said he was a real fan and said he loved man u, neither true imo

But he is an arrogant, self involved *****. He is not the "thanking" type. Good for LFC though.

To be fair to ronaldo, it is incredibly stupid to call someone arrogant, selfish, a **** when you have never met him. :S

Yes just as it is to say you "love" someone when you have never met them.. :S I hope you understand what I'm getting at..

:P What so i guess you don't like/love any liverpool player like gerrard or torres then?
I get what you are getting at but there is a big difference between liking a player at your favourite club because of there style of play, commitment Etc.. and Judging the character of someone based on what you have saw of them on the t.v playing a sport.
If i went round saying anderson is a kind, selfless, funny guy who has never put a foot wrong you would have a point ( I like to think he is but i have never met him) but i don't.

Fair enough if the guy doesn't like ronaldo but to say he is an arrogant, selfish **** without ever having met him and got to know him is bullshit.:P

he will come back, end of next season
Just saw this:P Mate, I really doubt that.<)

He has just transferred to the club of his dreams, apparently, 8 months ago for a world record transfer fee of 80 million and is now reportedly the highest paid football player in the world. He has 12 La liga goals in 14 games. A total of 18 goals in 19 appearances. He is one of the most marketable players in the world.

Now after reading that. tell me why he would return after a one season or even two? Even if they win nothing this year, real madrid are almost guaranteed to be challenging for the title every single season and it's not as if perez is not going to strengthen in the summer.

Never mind why would he go. Why the **** would real madrid let him go? Lets say worst case scenario, for real madrid, they come second and get knocked out of the champions league against lyon. That would make perez even more determined to keep him so they can try again next year with maybe more additions to the galacticos. Even if he wasn't performing, he has: 18 in 19, they would not sell him. As far as i can tell part of this galacticos scheme is that all the hype about the team and the stars they have = Tons of merchandising being sold. And i will safely predict ronaldo shirts are one of the highest sellers. No ronaldo= no Ronaldo shirts.

Plus, could we really afford him? He's a great player but even if the rest of his madrid career is an absolute disaster it's not like they will be selling him off at a discount. He would easily cost 50+ million even if he never scored again for the rest of the season.

That was a bit of a rant.:S
