Inreased realism, more polished, nearly no bugs after last patch, more stress, more joy, more tears.....most realistic version I've played. Love it |)

IMO a lot of people are calling the game bad because this series is slightly more challenging and there can be real frustrations I admit. However, what is the point in playing football manager if your gonna win every match you play? All success comes from overcoming difficulties. Also, my best challenges on fm 11 so far have been trying to make blackpool a top 4 club and getting hayes and yeading up to premier league from the blue square premier league. It's really fun!

Not at all. Just find it hard to get into a game with a team I enjoy playing as. Was easier in 10. Nothing to do with whether I won more games.

I wish it was harder, actually. Apart from my very first game in the very first season, I don't remember having a bad season?

I dont really like it much, i usually have massive rants about it on the IRC. Unlike the creator i will give a reason....

Long shots, no matter what i do i cant fix it., my team has insane amounts.

in this one there isn't really a fun save to do like in 10 i went 6 years with birmingham and won everything but this year i dont really enjoy many saves apart from my chelsea one which is wearing off. also everyone is so expensive this year on 10 i managed to sign ribery for like 22 mil now he'll cost about 40 its just annoying

The only thing that annoys me about Football Manager is the people who play the game and think it is just like real life. I have come across so many people who have said that such and such a player is class on Football Manager so such and such a team should sign him.

Torres 50 Million..... That is all.

Well, I don't have that issue. I do have several others, though :P

I'm not gonna say I don't like it - I ragequit very often but end up coming back - but it can be utterly frustrating at times. I find it's flawed in many ways, and sometimes it tries so hard to be realistic, that it ends up being... well, dissapointing.

Exactly! And also people who expect every player's attributes to be perfect according to how they are in real life.

I have been playing football/championship manager type games since they came out in the early-mid 90s, and even though I look back on one or two with nostalgia and sometimes claim they are the best of the lot - I have to say the last two - FM10 and FM11 have been utterly fantastic.

10 had a few wee problems (like unable to build new stadiums which hurt a bit) but with things like that ironed out in fm11, I think its great, and in turn has a strange effect - Ive got so into it, and have such an indepth save, I dont plan on buying the next one, instead go on with this for a good while longer. (although I usually only buy them every two years, I just bought this years because it sounded too good to pass up)

i started with fm 10 then got fm 11 and i liked them both!
If you do not like fm 11 that's your choice. But i personally believe this is the best game ever for me, even though my man city loose to sunderland 4-0 and blackpool 3-1.
Its frustrating but challenges you to improve your managerial skills in the game and that's fun.

How hard it is relative. If you play as R.Madrid, you'll probably find it pretty easy. If you play as a conference team with zero money, you'll find it pretty hard. Having said that, people still struggle to play well with Madrid judging by some threads made.

Not really seen a proper reason as to why some people think this years is poor yet.

Some people find it hard, but personally, I just find that more of a challenge. Harder for me means a lot more addictive, more thought going into it, and ultimately better rewards.

While the may not be perfect, for the most part they are pretty **** accurate.

On topic: FM11 is made of win.

I dont hate it, but i actually prefer some of the older ones, 08 was probably my favourite since championship manager 02.

I regret posting this thread now, it is clear that Im the ONLY person that doesnt really like FM 2011. Its probably because im set in my ways and cant get used to lots of changes. I must have started 50 -60 games on FM 2011 and simply cant get into any of them. Silly things like the Overview view on the squad screen being no longer available really got my back up. I love Football Manager I dont hate it! I just dont like the feel of this game the skin colours aint good either to dull, again probably because im just not down with the kids! LOL! Im sorry if I have offended anyone here, that wasnt my plan. I am back playin FM 2010 as we speak, I havent givin up on FM 2011 I will give it another go probably many goes until I get into it, if I ever do!
