Lol if you play that formation a second striker or even Van Dar Vart along side lampard to get all the knock downs of carrol then I would see it maybe working, but I still feel andy carrol would get killed by the S.Americans

Carroll has one of the best headers of the ball in the world and he is insanely strong. Those South Americans tend to be technically gifted in a different way so he'll prove a challenge for them. It's also nice how he goes back to defend as well. I'd just love to see one of them try and beat Carroll in the air. It's near impossible!

However i would back drogba against any goalkeeper, and ofc even with the lack of balls into box, if they do come i would put my house on him scoring)
