In need of serious help!!! I cant run the game without computer crashing!!

I have tried to install the game to run through steam and run off the CD and both methods are unsuccesful. The computer crashes when trying to run the game and having looked at the install log this seems to be the problem:

Execute Uninstaller: $USER_INSTALL_DIR$$/$Uninstall $PRODUCT_NAME
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - No uninstaller existed in the directory

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated!!!!

its relatively new and i never had a problem on the previous game! any idea about the unistaller?

I only have the game using steam. If u have the game through steam go into libary, right click football manger 2011 and delete local content. Re download fm2011 then again right click fm11 and verify the game in properties. Im out of ideas if that doesnt work mate.

i would suggest starting again from scratch by doing a manual unistall of the game ie:deleting regristry files and also unistalling steam,then just try installing it from the cd, so your saying the game installs properly but when you actually go to play it you get that error message,looks strange as it seems like its trying to execute the uninstaller instead of starting the game up.
