I prefer Inception to Shutter Island (2 of the most recent films I've seen at cinema)
I really liked Inception and would give it 9/10

Not a fan of shutter Island - the book it better but i would not recomend the book mind as there is much better reads out there. whereas Inception is really good. had to see it twice and if anything was even better the second time. you have to love the Cineworld card.

Saw it a week or two ago and loved the film. I wouldn't put it in my top 5 films probably, but it's certainly high in my estimation. Loved the ambiguous ending, the best it could have been considering the entire plot of the film.

As i have seen the film, these 2 theories are both very interesting, it was a great ending and i think the director has left it for people to make up there own minds as to what actually happened which is very clever. I also think that the ending definitely left the oppurtunity for there to be a sequel, but whether there will be one and whats left to cover i don't know...
I really don't think Nolan is the type of director to try and cash in on one of his original works. (Batman doesn't count as it's already an existing franchise, reboot or otherwise.) He's not like James Cameron, who's started on Avatar 2 already. And personally, I'd rather not have a sequel to Inception, because I think it's a masterpiece in itself. Adding anything to it would take away it's magic.

And I really don't understand the need that people have for sequels these days. Why are we too scared to try out new and original movies like Inception rather than underwhelming sequels like Iron Man 2 and Transformers 2? I'm pretty sure Nolan will make a fresh new movie after Batman 3, and not Inception 2. And that's what makes him an amazing director. That, and the fact that 5 out of 7 of his movies are in the IMDB Top 150 movies of all-time.

Absolutely - a sequel would ruin practically the entire point of the film.

10/10 for me, the best movie i have seen in years!
i was glued to that screen for 2:15 min or so and was gripped from start to finish! Leo is a fantastic actor and deserves another Oscar for this performance!

True. But I think Chris Nolan deserves an Oscar for Best Director first and foremost. He was unfairly snubbed for a nomination with TDK.

I have seen it....pretty good although hard to understand some parts

Pro Tip: Go to the toilet before it starts so you don't miss parts of the film. You can't afford to miss a 'layer' change.

went the week it came out, it was fantastic, best film ive ever seen, my favourite, the ending is just brilliant, fantastic, just if you go to watch it dont watch it with an annoying mate (Y) lol

Like any sci-fi movie, this one takes certain liberties with the plot basics. So, some of the ideas and concepts you'll just have to accept as "possible".

10/10 for me. I put it right up there with the likes of The Matrix, which was so amazing that even Keanu's horrible acting can't disrupt the magic.

Really good film. I went with mates and having no idea what it is I didn't expect to have to pay much attention so I was chatting to my mates towards the beginning but then it began to grip me and I paid attention to the plot and the idea. Word of warning for anyone who's not seen it: Go in concentrated on the film! I began to understand it after about 40 minutes and there's some brilliant actors in it.
9/10. One of the films of the year.

It's only two hours long. Only women have bladders that small.

Just saw this yesterday, very good film IMO, although ******* confusing.. 8/10 for me, some things i just refuse to accept as 'possible', but right up there with Shutter Island, and Di Caprio is brilliant, a couple of things though:

How do Cobb's projections find their way into the dream, if it's Ariadne's dream, and he hasn't seen the maze? Likewise with Fischer's security projections?

The ending is very interesting for me, personally i think he is still in the dream world, partly because it all seems to much of a 'happy ending' after the histrionics, as well as the fact that we obviously don't see the totum fall, and that the children are in the same clothes, and doing the same thing to all of his dreams, especially the one which Ariadne comes into.

I think the way Mol's death and the blame on Di Caprio is done, is very good. I kept thinking i knew what happened, and then they give you another idea, i originally thought for example, that he had in fact killed her, by accident with the glass he steps on in their hotel room, which he picks up when Ariadne goes there.

Finally - Cobb gets stabbed in the chest by Mol! Why the **** isn't he hurt? And why on earth are they not all dead, having rolled down a hill, and reversed off a bridge.

Other than the last point though, very good film, one of the best i've seen in a while of any genre.

Di Caprio has turned into a actor for the serious films now, and it suits him well i think

One of the greatest films I have ever seeing, Only home from it now and cant get it out of my head

This gets better everytime I watch it. Personally, I wish film-makers would learn to come up with original ideas, rather than keep churning up comic-book adaptations, video game adaptations, cartoon adaptations, novel adaptations, remakes of classic movies, etc. Creativity is almost a lost art in hollywood these days, where people prefer big explosions, 3D gimmicks, cliched rom-coms and mindless teen comedies/musicals over thought-provoking, intellectually challenging movies. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy pure action-movies and comedies from time to time, but these days, it seems that is all we ever see and it's getting pretty tiresome. BTW, I rate Chris Nolan right up there among the top Hollywood directors. The man's a genius and has yet to put a foot wrong.
