Steam so you can get automatic Patch updates to fix bugs ect.

offline if you didnt buy the game ;) but if you have bought from steam then install with steam

WEll I bought it. Ive already installed with steam. Is there much difference ?

What i normally do is:

Buy the game via shops (disc form) Then install it using steam, and keep the disc safe, so if Steam ****** me off, i'll delete it, then re-install it without using steam..

if ya' catch ma drift? oO)

Aye :)

Not much, it just auto downloads updats/patches as someone earlier stated and you can easily chat with friends while playing online.

Some Times, it doesn't work (Connection doesn't work)

Pretty safe normally though.

i bought the game on a disc and installed it via steam but the crash dumps just ****** me off, so I uninstalled it and installed it again this time with the disc but now my saved game doesn't want to load. Any ideas???

I installed through steam and my internet connections not working, and now i cant load my game. it jst says Connection error, and when i click start in offline mode it says cant connect to steam mode, which is obvious as no internet. any help?

Steam doesn't work that well if you aren't connected to the internet, other than that it's pretty decent.

I use steam because you get automatic patch updates but it's not always fine and dandy, but then again, I do have Lidl internet.

I wasn't using steam when I got FM2010 but am using it now. It does seem handy for automatic updates.
Question: What's the procedure for downloading tactics & stuff when using steam ? I'm sure this has been queried before but I can't find the post. If it's straightforward I'll probably install the steam version of FM2011.

tactics logos graphics etc its exactly the same, not sure about updated databases though

databases are the same too. I installed Stus where his instructions said where to go. I use steam as for the majority of the time it's good, tho sometimes is a bit temperemental (servers randomly go down so u cant talk to people on chat). I say use steam

Ta for the reply but still not clear on the procedure.

What I normally do to install a tactic is use this thread:

>User documents
>Sports Interactive
>FM2010
>Tactics

This is easy-peasy. What I'd like to know is the method for installing a downloaded tactic if you're using an FM2010 Steam version of the game. oO)
