Just wanted to know what do people think about instant video replays. Don't forget to vote and comment why do you want it or you don't.

I do, for this reason.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-8dOjeVC80"]YouTube- Roy Carroll drops Mendes' shot over the line.[/ame] 89th minute at Old Trafford, ended 0-0 =(

If they had some one in the ground watching the game on TV they would see the replays straight away and could tell the referee straight away what the correct decision is. There would be no delay at all. If only the people running football weren't a bunch of fat cats. :(

I think there should NOT be video replays. I understand that then there would be no arguments but this is football. In real football, there are no replays and there are real referees. I know referees are the ones who whole community blames but that is what makes football interesting.

Well you say that you support Arsenal AND Spurs which shows you dont know too much about football. :P

No. We don't need replays, goal-line technology such as Hawkeye which provides instant feedback is more than enough. Just a shame Sepp Blatter is 74 as we're not likely to see technology introduced while he's still in charge.

Perhaps the old pillow-over-the-face trick is needed?

nah, sooner or later he'll choke on his own bullshit.

I don't think we should - it slows the game down way too much, and it would be overused, in sports such as Cricket it's OK, its not a particularly fast sport and the umpire only calls on the 3rd upmire when really necessary, it's also a lot more difficult (from what i've seen) to make these decisions without it, par example the "snickometer" which the TV crews certainly use to see if the ball and bat made contact.. also in Rugby, it's only used to decide a difficult decision whether or not to award a try, when there are twelve 18 stone beasts lying on top of one another + there is a lot more respect in that game. I think goal line technology is, however a good idea, so perhaps there can be a few moments where 4th official can say something in ref's ear.. also i don't think that extra linesman, like in the Europa league are making the slightest bit of positive difference.. I do however believe it is good for the game if referees, like Howard Webb did the other day, come out and speak to TV afterwards about their decision and why they made it, **** perhaps they'll even admit they're wrong now and then!

Something like my point ^^)

Yes and No

Yes, if it was my team "cheated" out of a result I would be angry and would want video replay
No, if it was the opposition who had a goal ruled out, but given by video evidence.

My view :
important matches only :P

I personly would keep it as it is. Football is a game off debate and it should stay that way.

yes because it works in every other sport so why not this sport

I like football as it is, football is interesting because it is open to mistakes by referees which is what makes it worth talking about.

It has to be used because in all other sports the result is given within a minute, and there is no arguing. It is the worst part of football when players and managers and fans moan about referees, in this the result is accurate and there isnt any useless petty arguing.
The referees will not be undermined because the linesmen are allowed to tell the referee if they see a foul, so why shouldnt another assistant. Everyone knows that Zidane was sent off because of video evidence, but how was that allowed? Blatter is too up himself to accept that football is continually undermined by one thing that works exceptionally for other sports.

So you would rather spend the whole time talking about the referees mistakes than the actual football that was being played? As is what happens with out this technology. oO)

Anyone with half a brain can see that technology is needed in football.
