Inter have released a statement officially confirming that Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir has taken a 70 per cent majority share in the club.

President Massimo Moratti revealed this morning that a deal had been reached, but this afternoon the club have sent out a Press release confirming the details of the takeover.

Today F.C. Internazionale Milano S.p.A. (Inter) and its majority shareholder Internazionale Holding S.r.l., wholly controlled by Massimo Moratti, have signed a binding agreement whereby International Sports Capital (ISC), a company indirectly owned by Erick Thohir, Rosan Roeslani and Handy Soetedjo, three prominent Indonesian businessmen, will become the controlling shareholder of Inter with a 70 per cent stake by means of a dedicated capital increase,? it read.

Questions now turn to what the future will hold for Inter boss Walter Mazzarri and what transfer funds Thohir will provide...

Leonardo has today returned to Inter as the new director of football with the Milan giants. The 42-year-old had been in the same role at PSG in France but has now decided to move back to Italy as part of Erick Thohir's new look staff.

He had resigned as director general of PSG after a nine-month ban was extended to 14 months for nudging an official after the Ligue 1 game with Valenciennes.

His suspension was not due to expire until June 30 2014, but today the tribunal accepted his lawyer?s view that the French Federation cannot suspend a director once he leaves one of their clubs.

The Brazilian will now be in charge - alongside manager Walter Mazzarri - of the club's transfer policy.
