cannot find a formation that works with their players help please!! and if i play my players in a formation for a couple games do they get better in it?

In the same situation. In January and the tactic I was using has us seventh which is out of the European spots. So decided to try a new tactic, although have seen someone playing with three central defenders, wing backs, two central midfielders, an AM and 2 strikers, just don't know what instructions to uae

I'm doing reasonably well with an attacking, very fluid 4312, basic lineup being:

Handanovic- Dodo, Juan Jesus, Vidic, Nagatomo - Hernanes/Obi (LCM-am-sup), Medel (CM-bwm-def), Kovacic/Guarín (RCM- - Guarín/Palacio - Osvaldo, Icardi.

close down more, offside trap, stay on feet
look for overlap, push higher up, play narrow
shorter passing play out of defence, run at defence

Got beaten by Fior the first week, but only victories and draws since, sitting at 2nd place in December 2014, behind a Juvemerda apparently being impossible to catch up to.

Icardi plays poacher, in front of a false9 Osvaldo, and an advanced playmaker (Guarín or Palacio).

I've bough Gino Peruzzi from Catania, so that Yuto and dod could be rotated as LWB, while Peruzzi and Jonathan do the same on the right.

The system has a certain lack of wing attacks, but the two wingbacks provide enough crosses, and even though they rarely result in a direct goal, the front three (all roaming from positions) have scored a lot from rebounds and opposition mistakes after whipped crosses.

Late november the board also granted a further 25m (euros), so I'm planning to buy a couple of decent wing AM talents - something the current squad desperately lacks, or one or two CMs to be able to hold possession better.

As for variation, when facing an opponent against whom I'd need some more wings, I put Obi in the postition of LM instead of LCM, and Guarín into AMR (am-sup) instead of AMC - switching off "Play narrow".

Not exactly a world-beater, but seems to be enough to get the ECC quali - which I had to promise to both Nagatomo and Icardi to keep them calm and happy.

Btw, not wuite sure how important these are, but I also replaced half of the coaching staff before the season, made Baresi my assistant and got a 20 coach for tactical training.

I also praise the lads constantly, regardless what the do or what Baresi says, and keep telling them to get creative from the sideline. Seems to work well with two or three playmakers, seen quite a few unexpected chances.

When I face an opponent featuring an AM, I also tell Medel (when injured, Kuzma) to manmark them, again ignoring Baresi whining about them being drawn out of position.

i came here to tell him my formation until i read yours! been using it since day one and im sitting in 2nd behind the annoying juventus. (who i'm playing in my next game)

My only difference is that i play kovacic or guarin in the amc pos. And as for the budget.. been playing as inter for a few fm games now and every season that happens haha

Interesting m8, i was thinking in starting a new save with Inter and try a 3-5-2 system !! Have you tried that ?
I need to study better this new patch 15.2.0 !
