Interacting With Board Help?

I am playing with Arsenal and Wanted a player but he was worth more than my budget so interacted with board and they agreed would be good signing and would make arrangements to sign player. So put a bid in and got accepted and my contract got accepted but when it came down to finalising deal said i didnt have enough funds? Could anyone help me please

To my knowledge, every time I've requested for board help in a transfer they've intervened and made an offer on behalf on me.

It seems like they just gave you extra transfer funds and you offered more than they subsequently gave you.
