US Soccer have appointed 31-year old Northern Ireland international Dylan Campbell as head coach. The Larne-born coach replaces Jurgen Klinsmann and will oversee his first game against Argentina at the Toyota Stadium.

US Soccer president Sunil Gulati said after Campbell's appointment: "Dylan is a young coach with great ambitions and tactical prowess who has experience at the highest level. We hope to have a successful tenure with Campbell throughout his reign."

The United States are currently in the middle of CONCACAF qualifcation, and are several games away from qualifcation for the World Cup.

TEAM REPORT

I have decided to play with a 5-3-2 formation, with three central defenders and two wing backs. The wing backs are encouraged to bomb forward when we're on the attack but provide cover for the three central defenders when the opposition are on the ball. The midfielders are more centralized with two central midfielders and an attacking midfielder. The mentality is standard and the shape of the team is rigid. The two strikers are the firepower of the team, the first striker is an advanced forward, the other a target man.

GK: Tim Howard (Everton)
CB: Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy)
CB: Tim Ream (Bolton Wanderers)
